Put new DVD into new ( X-Mas) combo. Would not play and would not eject. Was told by Poloroid people they could do nothing without receipt which I cannot locate. Any ideas????
You must put yourself at the mercy of a repair shop to see exactly what you need. The labor on these is only typically 3 months to begin with, and you're just about out of warranty, assuming you even registered the set with Polaroid. Barring that, your recourse is to pay to get your disc back, and make the choice on whether to have this one repaired...accordianman

Hello
Is it a Poloroid TV/DVD combo? If so what is its problem. Without reporting anything about it how can I send a solution to you? Provide the details by Fixya please.
Two possible scenarios: First the optical pick up assembly that read the disc has malfunctioned or the eject button is faulty. Either way it is just cheaper to replace the DVD player with a standalone dvd player connected to one the tv input(s). Too expensive to repair just the dvd player if it is tv/dvd combo. The cost for labor and parts is more expensive these days to repair tvs or dvd player. For around $30 you can just replace...much more cost effective.
hello. well the only thing you can do is.!!! try to find another go video player. on line .!!! try putting a add on a site that your looking for a go video vr3840 dvd/vcr player.!!! chep.!!! you never know you might get lucky and find one . well "GOOD LUCK"
This unit has seperate power supplies for the DVD and VCR side and the DVD side supply seems prone to failure. I have not isolated the cause, but can tell you this will require a component level repair. Unless you are a tech you may as well buy a new unit.
