Pulled the cover from the control panel to check out the thermo control, the lead from the control touched metal bracket and SPARKS! (I know, should have turned the power off first!!). Replaced the thermo control (knob assembly was broken off) and now i have issues - there is power to oven (clock works) but oven does not seem to function. Thought maybe I blew a fuse, yet had response saying most ovens don't have fuses. What did I fry? What should I look for?
SOURCE: Oven short circuit
ok two prime places to look is the oven elements to see if they are burned in two second take the cover off the back of the range to see if the cord is burned after you turn the breaker off and let me know
SOURCE: Frigidaire Electric Range ES200/300
there is sometimes a thermal fuse inside the caseing might have to take the top off if not then you will need a new timer be safe and unplug
If the oven was working before then
1. Power is gone from the unit - loose connector or neutral wire ( or ground wire depending on wiring system being used)
2. The power supply transformer (or transistor) on control board is busted. This is especially true if there was power problems in the apartment- power going on and off frequently. Check the wiring and see what comes up. Hope that helps

I have the single oven of this style and I had to replace the thermocouple (part number 4450934) on the back of the oven three times (used the cleaning cycle three times). After using the cleaning cycle, the oven would not heat so each time I had to pull the oven out from the wall to access the back so I could change the part. Once a new part was put on the back of the oven, it worked fine. To pull the oven out, open the oven door and look down by the doors hinges. On each side you will see a screw that's holding the side molding on. Remove the screws and then the molding. That will give you access to the screws that hold the oven into the framing around the oven. Remove the screws and then you can pull the oven out to access the back to change the thermocouple. The oven is heavy so you may want some help to get out. It is not a one man job, maybe a one man and wife job. It is heavy. I hope this helps. Better late than never.
SOURCE: Control panel on oven not working (clock/heat time, etc..) (model fgf326a)
HI, this control(clock/timer), will need to be replaced at this time. this code represent a control fault within the chip set(logic). this control has failed.
An oven thermostat is a switch that opens and closes in response to the temperature
it senses. It is typically found in the control panel, where a
liquid-filled temperature-sensing bulb senses and maintains the internal
oven temperature by cycling heat on and off.
Adjusting the thermostat:
To install a new thermostat, reverse the disassembly
procedures (Step 7 above), transferring the wires individually from the
old unit to the new.
