Question about JVC Audio Players & Recorders
SOURCE: jvc kd-g502, cd player skips
Common skipping issues can be:
Scratched discs, recorded cd-r's on poor/cheap media, dirty laser lens, disc spin motor binding, laser asm. slide rails needing re-lubed. Of course defective components can cause it as well.

I had the same problem. It started when I tried to play an MP3 track from a "Creative Zen Vision M" Media Player. The result was the same as you describe = Maddening. It was extremely annoying that the CD player did not work. I thought I had broken the equipment.
Then my wife read the product hand book , and noticed on page 2 http://jvcmobile.co.uk/documents/products/KD-G431%20Instructions.pdf it showed, where using a pen you can reset the equipment back to the original settings. I thought I might as well give a try. It worked = Fixed. Amazing. I was so relieved. Such an easy solution.
Give it a go. I reckon there is a good chance it will fix your problem, and you will also be very relieved. Just use a basic MP3 player in future. GOOD LUCK !!!

I Just Bought A Camaro Z28 With This Receiver/CD Player In It And It's Doing The Same Thing Also., You Would Think Someone Could Give A logical Explanation For This Problem. I Even Tried Hooking It Up Direct To The Battery And Still The Same Thing Happens. I Guess I'll Just Have To Trash It. Looked Like It Would Have Been An Awesome Player If It Would Work Right.
