My Yamaha receiver RX V463 is immediately turning itself off after I try and turn it on? (both with remote and on the receiver itself)

Power it On without speakers connected.

If it powers up, reconnect speakers one at a time to find the cause.

If the problem persist even without speakers connected,

these unit needs servicing.

maybe the audio amplifier IC's have problems that's why the device protects himself from a bigger damage

I got Yamaha RX-V3800 with intermittent power.
Cause by capacitor C4 22nF 630V on the control power board.
After replacing the capacitor, receiver again working OK!

Yamaha r-v98 turns on and immediately goes off. I haven't changed anything lately. It was playing then went off. Now it will not turn on for more than a few seconds.

Disconnect all speakers at the receiver then turn it back on, if it stays on, post a comment and I can help you troubleshoot further. If it still shuts off, it sufferred a power spike and needs to be serviced. They will replace 5-6 caps and 2 or three other parts, roughly 250 or so. Hope this helps

Problem with yamaha rx-c2092

Hi, try to unplug this unit from the wall for a minute or so, It may just need reset. If it still does this I would say that you have a loose wire inside where the power supply is. I would not recommend working on this unless you are computer savvy.

Rx-V2400 Shut Down

Hi Seems like you have a shorted output channel, remove all your speaker connections and try again, if the problem persist, good chances are that you need to replace a couple of power transistors, let me know if you need more help, I've fixed some Yamaha amplifiers with this problem Good Luck Miguel

This may be a relay problem, could be fixed for under 100.00 this is a normal problem for this unit.http://www.nextag.com/yamaha-home-theater-system/compare-html

sorry links are not working, just check out some prices on replacing the one you have, would be worth getting fixed, having the right person to fix it would be the problem, and this is why I may buy another hope this helps.
