My dell D810 won't power up. After pushing the power button, one LED light comes on. About 5 seconds later, that LED light goes off. I swapped power adapters and symptoms remain the same. The battery is fully charged (based on the battery's LED test button. 5 LED's light when the test button is pushed). Thanks.

Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

1 Disconnect the battery and the charger
2 Let it sit for 1-2 minutes.
3 Press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.
4 Connect the charger (don't connect the battery yet) and try to start by pressing the power button.

Let me know if everything remain same.

Try this things first, while the computer is off press and hold the power button and fn key, make sure adapter is plugged in properly and the battery, if it still won't turn on try to use a known good battery,
but I'm gonna tell you since you already tried to use another adapter, if your sure that the adapter that you used is working good, then you'll need to replace the motherboard of that computer.

Hope this helps!

Had same problem with my laptop but it would work okay a week or month later for several on/off power cycles and then return to the same old problem "button not responding" problem.

TOTALLY disassembled it down to the motherboard and found green fungus/mold had eaten some of the smaller parts and connections.

Hope this is not your problem.

TV won't turn on

Before going OFF, the standby LED might blink. These blinks are fault indication. The number of blink should be counted. Count the number of blinks at one time, before the TV goes OFF. [eg: 4 blinks Power SOS P Board; 6 blinks Driver SOS 1 SU / SD / SC Boards
(SC energy recovery circuit)] and so on. you can get more details from this site named 'Electro-help'. You can reach it by searching the keyword "electronicshelponline" by internet.

Dell latitude d810 power up issue

There is most likely either a problem with the power supply or else the CPU is overheating and causing a safety shutdown. There is not much you can do to check the power supply, but you can check to ensure that all ventilation ports are open and clear of dirt and debris. Also ensure the cooling fans are operating when you turn to unit on.

My Dell Latitude D810 won't even start up. All I have is the bluetooth light. Can you please help?

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

Dell D620 power light comes on when pushed but goes out 5 sec lat

There are two common causes for this and both relate to the power supply.

First is that the connector on the main board is loose or has a bad connection

If you are proficient with a soldering iron this is an easy fix for approx $10

http://www.insidemylaptop.com/category/4-dell-laptops/

They have some very good step by step guides for replacing power sockets.

It could also be a dying power supply which is the second most common cause.

Replacements are easy to obtain and cost between $20 to $60.
If it is the PSU either get an original replacement (EBAY is best bet) or get one of the many multi laptop PSU's available but if you get the latter please make sure it carries enough or preferably MORE amperage than you need.

The old supply will have the details of both the voltage and current on it and you need to match the voltage exactly and keep the same or better current rating eg 1000 Mw or 1A or whatever it says.

Dell d810 will not power on

You said you tried another power cord, but what about another power adapter? Try jiggling the cord around and manipulating it back and forth a little and see if the led on your computer lights up. This type of problem is usually the power adapter and/or cord. What about your battery - does it boot with your battery?
