i have the same problem. my computer and monitor were working fine.
i connected the monitor to an old computer to check some files. i then plugged it back into my machine. when i turned it on, the screen was tinted blue.
however, when the monitor comes on, the menu displays sample colors. these colors all appear (RGB).
I then plugged the monitor, using the same cable, into a third computer. the monitor displayed everything fine.
the monitor is a gateway lcd, and uses vga-vga cables (it's a bit old).
the graphics card on my machine is an integrated nVidia one (128mb). i'm going to try another video card.... any ideas?

i opsted my problem earlier - more details -

the boot menu has a blue tint, which leads me to believe it's hardware. i also did a system recovery to factory settings, and the problem persists.

Even my comp has turned in to tinted blue, i have already checked the cable all appears to be ok, then i just hit the monitor, it first turned into a tint red and then back to normal, I think there seems to be some prob with the monitor itself.

I've found that strange color tints are usually the result of a loose cable connection, either at the computer end of the monitor end.

Try unplugging both ends, and then replugging both nice and securely (might even try reversing the direction of the cable, if it is a simple VGA-VGA cable).

I can't find a manual for that model, but usually there is a "menu" button on the front that will bring up an on-screen menu. Usually "reset" is an option, along with fine tuning of the three colors.

Spent a couple of hours on this one! It was a loose cable on the back of my HP Monitor. Way to go! I was messing with settings and drivers and the cable on the laptop - it was the cable on the monitor.

Have you checked your camera's white balance setting ? Try setting it to 'Auto' and see if that helps. If not, then there may be a fault in the camera's electronics, which would indicate repair or replacement.

Lg flatron w1943tb color fades in and out to a blue green

Follow the following solutions, this should fix up your trouble
1. Turn yourmonitor on. It should be on for at least 20 minutes before you continue.
2.Press the"Auto/Select" button on the front of your computer's monitor. Thescreen will be wavy while the adjustment happens. When the screen stops beingwavy, the faded colors should no longer be visible.
Follow steps 1 and 2 if you do not have a disk for the monitor.

BLUE TINT ON MY SCREEN

Philips tv's have always had this problem. Between the picture tube and focus lens there is a layer of coolant fluid. The coolant fluid, over time, will break down and turn a brownish cloudy color and it usually starts with the blue. Something to do with the color frequency. Have a good repair shop check it out and if the fluid is the problem have them change all the fluid in all 3 picture tubes (there is a red, green and blue tube). Don't feel bad, like I said all the philips projo's had this problem. Thanks

Oh!!! no!!! ITS not the video card or what so ever rebooting will fix this problem.... its the monitor..... it is waht they called virtual chip inside the monitor that is malfunctioning, I already experience this problem.... and i will suggest that if your using basic monitor, which to an LCD monitor, its better.

The monitor has now got a blue tint I have checked the lead

Your monitor has a menu system that will allow you to access the color guns so you can adjust the red, blue, green guns that create the color picture.

The blue tint may indicate that you need to adjust teh reg and green to offset OR it may indicate that you have lost the red gun all together.

If this is an older monitor and you are considering repair... cost points say it is cheaper to buy a monitor ~$60 bucks

The color is blue

Any of the 3 internal wires that delivers the tree color (Reg-Grenn-Blue) is disconected or damaged.

Open your monitor and try to locate that wires...

Good Luck

Colorimetre HCFR software
AVC HD 709 calibration disk
Spyder2 colorimeter (I know most prefer the Eye-One meters, but the Spyder2 was available from my job at no cost)

Here are the settings:

PS3 Blu-Ray player

Output Format (HDMI): Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr (important!!! NOT RGB output)
BD 1080p 24hz Output (HDMI): On (this TV can reproduce video at 48hz for accurate 2:2 pulldown)
Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super White (HDMI): On (not sure if this matters)

Take time to get used to the settings, you may think the screen looks dull at first. The truth is most people have way too much contrast on their TVs.
These settings will also work for Cable or Dish hookups, in which case you may change the Noise Reduction option to Medium to reduce signal noise.

Green tint I can't seem to fix

Hopefully someone on here has a manual and can tell you exactly where the tint controls are. Also need to try adjusting the color level, turn it clear down so you have a black and white picture.
Is the picture still green over the screen with the color control
set clear down to black and white? If it does, you might
have an issue with the green gun going out or problem in the
circuitry to it.

By the way, the best way to adjust the picture settings on a
tv are to first turn the color control clear down, then adjust
brightness and contrast for best black and white picture, then
bring up the color level to where it should be and adjust the
tint for best red/green ratio.

Blue tinted monitor screen

black and white tracking can vary in color depending on which color that the dispay is not getting enough of or to much of. In the case of it changing when you walk
in to the room, sugust that there is probably a loose connection or poor solder joint on the curicut board of the moniter. I don't suggust that you get inside the moniter and try to fix this due to dagerous voltage potential with in the moniter. Good luck
