I obtain NO power response to even get a LCD display.

Is there a jumper or such to reset the counter manually?

  • Sourdoe Feb 28, 2008

IF manual reset brings NO response then will a ballast replacement be likely needed?

  • Sourdoe Feb 28, 2008

Then it is so, for I don't even have a status light.

Thanks for your patience & advice.

  • Sourdoe Feb 28, 2008

Yes, I did try it to no avail.

    Thank you for your help.

Did you let the lamp counter expire? If so, the projector will not do anything until that is reset.

If the counter expired, then the reset is holding both volume keys down for 10+ seconds.

No. Even with a bad ballast, the projector attempt a power-up.

You're saying there is absolutely no response, so that rules that
out. Either it is the counter reset or the main power supply is
dead. But if it were the main power supply, you wouldn't even
have a status light on the case.

Try the reset anyway. You have nothing to lose at this point.

The infocus LP600 won't power up

make sure the lamp door is engaging the safety switch. manually reset the lamp hours and reflash the software, if that don't work it's most likely the power supply.

Self Shutdown of my Infocus LP600

power supply problem. if it was overheating, it would go into cooldown mode then standby. there is an issue with the power supply, and it needs replacing. it's about $100 from infocus.

Yo

I believe that does mean the lamp is dead. If your model is the LP600, you need the SP-LAMP-019. A quick search on eBay found one for $320 new. From the InFocus website it is $499 so that is not a bad deal. InFocus offers a 6 month warranty, so that is something you will want to keep in mind.

Lp600 went dead

i had the same problem with my 2 years old infocus lp600. on the mains section of the power supply board you have 4 100uF/16v and 1 4,7uF/35V electrolyt condenser of a 85 degree type. that means it will work 2000 hours at 85 degree (celsius). since the power supply only switch off the lamp in standby with no fan the power supply get hot- i think about 70 degree. so after two years in stanby it is evident that this condensers loose halve of their capacity - after switch off no new start. changing this condensers with new ones of 105 degree type will solve tis problem. and for the future - no more stanby.
