To wire it up is pretty simple?the speakers are on one block which should fit straight in?and the power block might need to be swaped around a bit to make them all line up?as for turning it on look for a SOURCE or FUNCTION button?
hope this helps?

We just installed the Kenwood KDC-X692 in our 1993 BMW 740il. The tuner works, but the CD has no sound and the AUX doesn't work either. I'm also confused on the bluetooth ready but lack of instructions...

i'm assuming you are going through an amplifier. if so it sounds like you are using the blue wire instead of the blue/white wire to turn the amplifier on. i can't really help you with the bluetooth though.

I need instruction on how to install my stereo

First things first. I always tell everyone spend the extra 10 to 15 for the aftermarket factory harness. Bought at your local automotive sound shop. You have no idea just how much easier this will make your life. Connecting a car stereo looks 10 times more intimidating than it really is. You at least made the first step that about 90% of people who don't know what their doing fail to do and thats asl for advice.
Here is the simplified breakdown:
  • There will be a total of 12-15 wires
  • 8 of these wires are speaker wires
  • Speaker wires are in 4 sets of two wires, your positive and your negative. The positive wire usually is solid and the ground usually is the same color but with a stripe to indicate that it is the ground. There is a way to test this
  • Then there is a power wire (red) you have to be careful with this wire at all times when it is uninsulated (exposed end). You can unplug the battery while install but you won't need to if your careful. This wire is directly connected the battery. IT IS ALWAYS HOT!!.
  • Ground = Black
  • Constant Wire, = Yellow, sometimes you will luck out but most people splice this into there power wire. It maintains clock time, disc position so and so forth.
  • Remote wire = blue or blue with white stripe, if you are not hooking up subwoofers there is no need to use this. Cut off exposed wire and cap
  • Now since we are on the subject of caps. I highly recommend that you spend the 10 bucks and get an automotive electrical kit . If you are taking the time to do it right, this is the only way to go. Most people don't know this or just don't reailze that stereo has the ability to compromise the enire electrical system of a car.
  • Use a test light, I can not stress this enough it will save you tons of time in differentiating between hot wires and ground wires
If you need anymore advice feel free to ask

Hi i have brought a second hand car, which was fitted with an Alpine cda9830r stereo, but no user manual, i have found one for a cda9830 stereo, is there a lot of difference in the two, as i have amps,...

Hi stephen my names Josh. Its great you could find a second hand manual for the cda9830 and theres not any difference your manual will tell you need to know about the cda9830r as well. Your amp hook up will be very standard speakers and sub will match very well with the that alpine in your car.

I own a mitsubishi eclipse gt 2000 i had to disconnect the battery now the stereo is asking for a code. does anyone know the code?

for stock radio codes, check your owners manual front page or towards the back, normally the code will be written there, if it is not a stock radio call the manufacture and tell them the serial number and model number they can get you a generic code for it, or tell you what to press to reset it. hope this helps
