Question about Canon PowerShot A530 Digital Camera
When I have the flash set to be on automatic or as on, the camera won't take a picture. When I press the button, the green boxes will never come up, and I just wait forever. The flash symbol (the lightning bolt) will blink on and off.
I have found that it works fine when I turn off the flash, but it's pretty impractical to never be able to use the flash, so I'd like to get it to work with flash as well.
Note that I checked this one: http://www.fixya.com/support/t192776-canon_a530_powershot_snap_picture, which was similar. However, I do get the orange light. I checked on the recall and my camera is not one of the ones that has been recalled.
Charging of the flash may be overpowering the batteries that you're using. Are you using alkaline batteries? If so, recommend instead trying rechargeable NiMH batteries rated at least 2500mah to see if the problem still exists.
