Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ7 Digital Camera
I took my camera outside today to try to take pics of the snow but the camera keeps saying to 'please turn camera off and then on again'...I do that but it keeps saying the same thing and I still cant take a pic.... the zoom is extended and wont retract. I have replaced the batteries but it is still saying the same thing. Please help! Thanks
First of all you should take a look to the little "guide" that I posted to the "stuck lenses" problem for LUMIX. But in your case the camera is very different, so: first thing you should do is (hoping that its just a simple stuck problem, try moving the zoom gently doing circular movements and then more gently in and out with the camera on. VERY GENTLY!!! if that does not help, try disassembling the camera, the structure is similar to the one I described in the text, although its parts are smaller and more delicate. Every LUMIX camera cheaper that $ 1500 seems to have this kind of problems... REMEMBER TO BE REALLY CAREFUL or your zoom will say good bye.
