I have 2 burners that will not light. The other two light fine with the spark. The two that do not light will light using a match. I checked the spark on one and I still see the spark when trying to light it. Any help is greatly appreaciated.

Re: Burners won't light
Remove hte buerner cap and with a nail file or emory clloth try cleaning the electrode(sparker), sometimes a build up of carbon onthem will prevent proper lighting, also lool for cracks in electrode itself,if ther cracked they wont be very effective and need replacing

One burner doesn't consistently light. Igniter sparks but not the same as the other - "good" burners spark at top of igniter and moves around to light, "bad" burner sparks toward the bottom and doesn't move much. I can use the burner by lighting with a match and it works fine. Have tried cleaning with a toothbrush without much success
had same problem. Used fine sandpaper on the little head (just above the white ceramic) that creates the spark. over the years the edges of the littel metal ring had gummed up but a 1 min sanding got it down to shinny metal and it sparked nicely.
Sounds like the electric sending unit for the right burners is not working. Do you hear the cliking noise on the right side when you turn the knob to LITE? If not then you need to replace the electric sending unit, they are located under the knobs, they are a smal square box that goes on the switch valve rod, they have tow wires on the side, just unplug and lift, and look for greasse or anything that might interrup contact, you might be able to use the same ones, or just replace with new ones....Good Luck
