Hello forum? my computer won't boot, dvd drive only shows yellow light on, won't recognise any cd or dvd disc after i formated HHD. Any help pls? many thanks
After a Format EVERYTHING is GONE... It is a blank thing. It only know to boot from an install disc. So you must now put a Windows DVD or some sort of Boot setup Disc in, and if the Windows disc, you should perform a re-install of the Operating System. As until that is done you cannot use the PC, as a PC. try that and get back to me.
HI,
open device manager, right click on cd-dvd driver with yellow ! mark and select uninstall
it would be disappeared.
then open the following Fixit software weblink and run it
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929461
restart computer, yellow !mark would be gone ..
issue resolved :)

Go to Device Manager. Is the drive listed there?
First off, have you installed any OS(Operating System) such as XP or Vista?
Allright.. I must first ask you just exactly how you "formatted your HDD"? Did you do it with your Recovery Partition? Or did you do a NO-NO, and wipe out the whole drive with a System Disk? Please answer me so that I may be able to further help your situation. Thanx- Lucky4lynn2
