In my Asus A6Q00VM there're two screws holding the keyboard (marked on the bottom cover by letter "K". After removing them, slide the tip of a screwdriver at the top edge of keyboard to pry three spring-loaded tabs (one almost at the center and two near the corners) and carefully lift the keyboard minding the ribbon cable underneath.

Properly connecting the mic cable to the pins. my mic is currently in a state of repair due to the absence of the original cable.

For low impedance A3F/A3M, two wires with Shield
Pin 1 is ground/shield
Pin 2 is hot or +
Pin 3 is cold or -

For high impedance A3F/A3M, one wire with Shield
Pin 1 is ground/shield
Pin 2 is hot
Pin 3 is not used.

Keyboard Issues

I hate to say it, but you may have to go back to the company that sold this to you because the MSI keyboard should be a perfect drop in replacement.

Which notebook to buy?

I'd ask your professors which one they recommend and if they don't have a recommendation ask them what they use or better yet what they would like to use if they could afford it!
good colleges should recommend a compatible laptop that will easily sync with their school system!

Model A3F cant start at all this morning. Press ON button but nothing happens no sound whatsoever.

If you are plugged into a power strip you might try plugging it directly into the wall. If there is an on off switch on the back of the machine near where the power cord plugs in, be sure it is in the on position. If this does not help, I would suspect a bad power supply in the computer. Not too expensive.

Removing keyboard for ASUS A9rp

There are three little clips at the very top of the keyboard itself, if you lightly push them in starting at one side while very lightly prying on the keyboard you can lift it out and then just unhook the ribbon cable. That's it, really simple actually!!!
