You don't need any special software in order to use your camera.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Please state the make and model of the camera you have. On the newer cameras you should just have to plug it in to your pc and it downloads the driver for you. Was there extra software on the disc that you wanted to download or do you just want to download the camera driver?
If you use a memory card, you don't need the disc. Just use a card reader to download the pics. If you absolutely want to load the disc, you could use a friend's computer to open the disc and copy it to a thumb drive and then use that to load it onto your computer.
Can I have your camera brand and model? Also what memory card does it use?
If all else fails, you can buy memory card readers which attach to your computer or your USB ports to read memory cards and copy data to your hard drives.
www.freeringer.net It's only 7.99 a year, and you can download pictures and ringtones, it gives you a free program to turn any mp3 song off your computer or cd into a ringtone. I love this website, I have been using it since 2005.
