Can't get wifi on ds even though I have wireless router and play online with my ps3 all the time!

Some possibilities are
Your DS could be at a different frequency to the router and can not pick up the wireless signal.
or
The security encryption type is not supported by the DS that you are using to secure the network
Try and change some settings round in your router setup
Also the wireless could be faulty

Can a DS and a DS light talk to each other? I have a DS and want to buy a DS light for my son. Do they talk to eachother, or do I need to find another DS? Thanks!!!

Hi, an old style DS and newer DS Lite are both compatible with each other. They will be able to play the same games, go on pictochat wirelessly with each other and also play each other wirelessly with games that support it, for example Mario Kart.

Hope this helps

Trying to play a game with wifi connection. It

Try using the Nintendo DS at different locations that have either wi-fi or a friends house that has a wireless router.

If your DS doesn't work at a few different locations then that means your built-in wireless card in the DS is bad.

There is also different things you can try as well according to Nintendo, here is a link to there page as well:

DS Lite Internet

Option 1: Your DS could not have a wireless access point to connect to, Make sure you have that, And, If it doesn't fix it, Proceed to Option 2.

Option 2: Your Game may not have Wi-Fi, If you have the box, Look at the back, Does it have wireless icons? If not, That game doesn't have wireless, Also, There is a small blue circle on the front of the game that means Over-The-Internet play. Also, GBA games cannot play Multiplayer on the NDS. Also, You and the other player may need to have each-other's Friend codes to play.

If you are still having the problem, See here.

My boy (6) has a nintendo DS and would like to play his friend using the same game. Is there a synch wire used for the connection between the two that will allow this type of play?

You could ether use WiFi if you have wireless internet or when you turn it on you will have options, click DS Download Play, right next to Pictochat . If you have a DSi then there should be a row of squareswith options in them. One should say DS Download Play.

On the back of the game it says Wireless DS,Single Card,Download Play on one box and Wireless Ds, Multi-Card,Play. Whats the difference and can it be downloaded?

It means that multiple people can play the game wirelessly, and only one person needs to own the game. Other friends can connect to your DS via wifi, and they'll download what they need from you so that they can play as well.

DS Lite flight mode?

The Nintendo DS LIte itself is in flight more or it's called "not connected". Unless you activated the Picto-Chat or any wireless games (Download Play, WiFi), the nintendo ds isnt emitting any wireless signals.

Internet connection

First, the obvious: make sure your game supports wireless play and read the instruction manual for details on how that works.

Then, the less obvious: the DS is only able to handle unsecured or WEP wireless security protocols, so either make sure your router is using WEP or leave it unsecured (WPA does NOT work!). Also make sure your router is not set to exclude any MAC addresses. If you need to know how to do these things, look up the manual for your router or find a more general tutorial on wireless hub settings.

Nintendo also has a very comprehensive guide on routers: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wfc/en_na/ds/index.jsp

If all else fails, call Nintendo's customer service... they are actually VERY nice and helpful.
