Question about Televison & Video

Videoseven (V7) LTV32DA LCD TV black screen, blinking led

I'm trying this problem again, and hope a TV expert can help me..

The led in the front blinks 3 green 1 red, 3 green 1 red, 3 green 1 red, then continuous green. As it front blinks in a specific pattern I think it's a code pointing to what the problem is, but I can't find any info on what it means. Measured the voltages from the SMPS, and all seemed to be ok. I also found that the Samsung LNS3251DX/XAA uses the same LCD screen, so maybe solutions for Samsung sets would work on this one?

I don't know if this is of any help in finding info for this set, but the lcd-screen is marked LTA320W2-L01 and LTY320W2-L02, the main boards is marked LTV1280H1 Rev.B P/N:511-050-029100 and LTV1280H1_SUB Rev.B P/N:513-230-004000, and the SMPS is marked Kijin Electronics Co. Model: KJP2504B.

Please help me find out where the problem is...

I haven't been able to find any schematics for it yet, but still searching. The problem with it is black screen, no sound, just the blinking led. The set responds to the remote, that is: the led in front blinks when buttons are pushed, but nothing more. Voltages from the power supply seems to be ok.

  • Geir Ove Eilertsen Feb 28, 2008

The voltages for the power supply are printed on the circuit board. There are three plugs and the first plug is marked S/W-gnd-gnd-gnd-gnd-+5v-+5v-+5v-s5v, second plug is marked s/w-gnd-gnd-gnd-12v-12v-12v and third plug gnd-gnd-gnd-gnd-18v-18v-18v-18v, but I think I'll have to measure them one more time to check if they are within 5%. Any more info would be very appreciated

Same fault -but i can sometimes access the menu screen.
The sreeen 'starts up' and the slowly fades a couple of pixels at a time. it is as if it is not receiving enough power. I have checked for burn marks on the circuit boards - nothing.
Does anyone know where i can find replacement circuit boards..?
    Any help would be appreciated

That is correct in assuming that this is a code and it is related to that on-board processor protocol. Yes, many screens are used on many different chassis, but the ways to the means is not always the same. So, you have a schematic for this motherboard? What problem are you having with this set?....accordianman

Voltages must be within 5% for this chassis to work. What reference are you using if you have no schematic?

  • Michael Borelli Feb 28, 2008

Okay, the references you need to read are those voltages but must be within 5% in order for the set to work. Bear in mind that those are all the "low" voltages and are not necessarily being converted as needed wherever high voltage is required...accordianman

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.

You very well could have problem with the Ballast board that powers Lamp or your Lamp Fan maybe defective and if you need orinagnal hand unit for set Call Encompass Parts Distrubtion or Go to their website type in Model number they will list Parts /Prices for your model.

if this does not work try it in reverse Hold Menu down on TV and Vol- on hand unit. Check your Lamp Fan see if it quits running while turning set on,if it starts and stops it is defective, other wise Follow wires that Lamp plugs into it will connect to Ballast board that powers Lamp CK it Problem M/B Ballast Board.

Power LED blinks red

it is a bad fan. it also could be a power supply. Quite often the real problem is dirt clogging up the fan(s) to the point that they need to be replaced. Operation of the set in a dirty environment is not a good idea
