The dymo 450 software says it needs win xp sp2 or better. I verified I am running win xp sp3.

Thanks for the quick response, however I have already tried installing multiple versions of the software and drivers, tried from the cd and the dymo website. It stops at the same place every time. I've run windows update twice and both times it told me my system was 100% up-to-date. Rebooted multiple times. I've worked in IT for 10 years. You'd think this would be a cake walk. I've already emailed dymo this morning and I am waiting on a response.

Dymo support emailed a patch to resolve the problem.

Does the software not install? If not, go out to Dymo's website and download the software directly. They may have had an update since the version that ships on the CD. If it still won't install, give the support team an email. They have always been pretty helpful to me in the past.

I feel you! I too was in IT for about 15 years...sometimes I get stuck on some of the most REALLY stupid things - and I know better!!!

I do believe you should get back a response from the folks at Dymo...they seem to know what they're doing most of the time.

Error bigpipe win xp professional sp2

This is due to a security flaw in SP2. You will need to download SP3 update from Microsoft!
IF you go to Microsoft XP SP3 Manual Update, follow this link and download the update then run it. This will correct the issue.
I also suggest that turn on automatic updates. Although XP is no longer supported by Microsoft you will still get all the old updates.

My (Win XP SP2) command prompt does not work

First off, lets try a few things. This will help us narrow it down:

  • Try typing other known commands to see if they work (ipconfig for example)
  • Do a search on your computer for cmd.exe (you should only have 1, and it should be in the system32 folder.)
  • try typing cmd.exe instead of just cmd.
Give those a shot and report back. Depending on which one of these give you a problem, it could point to the correct fix.

The reason I say this is that your easiest solution may be to upgrade to SP3. The only times I've ever heard someone having this problem was also in SP2.

Not recognise network card

Get the SP2 back since you have worked with that well. If the win Xp still suggest for updgrade to Sp3 express you can ignore it anyway. Just click cancell to any install command from the XP SP3 xpress.
Hope it might help you.

Xp recovery

You need to download all the drivers installer files from manufacturer website first, and also all the software you want to install automatically with Windows. Then you build a Windows Xp boot CD with all the software setup embedded.
