once you keep your finger on the light button you should hear a beep and the 24HR starts flashing, then use the two buttons on the left hand side to move up or down (though only 12HR or 24HR choices), once your happy with 12HR or 24HR, then hit the mode button to move to the next item to change - again two buttons on left of watch are used to go up or down, and again hit mode button to move to next choice. Once you're happy with all the settings hit the light button again and that should be you.
