Targus 70watt adapter

-   i have the same issue with the ac70u from Targus; the blue light on the charger itself lights temporarily when the charger is plugged into the wall but slowly (or quickly, if the laptop is plugged into it) dims and goes out.  the issue is with the charger, since it happens even when no laptop is plugged in (it is not the laptop drawing more than adapter expects).  plugging the charger back into the wall re-lights the light again until it dims and goes out again, almost the same as in a flashlight with dead batteries will power the bulb for a few seconds each time the switch is flipped, although the bulb starts out just as bright every time.  happy to hear ideas... -   Guest

-   plug it in, blue light lights, then fades.
If you make and break contact multiple times, the light goes bright-dim.

-   I am having the same problem. i plug the adapter in and the blue light on the adapter turns on and then fades to off. -   Guest

-   I have the same problem with this particular adapter. It is virtually brand-new, but the blue light goes off after only a couple of minutes and starts making a quiet beeping noise. I'm not sure what the problem is, but this happens with or without the cord being plugged in to the laptop.-   Guest
