Ink spots on paper

Hey, guys, I'm in a crunch. I changed the black and color cartridges today, and everything was printing smoothly when it started printing out ink spots or blots on my invitations. I've tried cleaning everything under the Maintenance option. Can anyone help me please?

Yikes...calibration worked too? there may be some deposits on the head carriers, underneath the cartridges..

cue tip, with denatured alcohol(not Coors or Becks) might reveal some nasty crud in there.

White line along right side with black ink only

One of our IT guys came out and said he had figured out the solution on another printer with the exact problem. The problem is that the ink cartridge is not in tightly enough. It LOOKS like it is; the lock is even shut and the drum rolls smoothly. BUT, there is a tiny, and I mean tiny, bit of space between the cartridge and the drum, thus the ink gap. So, the solution is to be sure the cartridge is pushed back into position very tightly. We had been tentative in shoving the cartridge in because of the plastic pieces, but the lock locked just fine and we heard a slight clicking sound. Now we know to put it in carefully, then push hard into place. Problem solved.

HP color laserjet 1600 - black spots on paper

It sounds like the toner drum may be having some issues, it can be replaced but it is not easy / inexpensive. It may be more cost effective to replace the unit. Otherwise it will need a replacement part for sure.

Ink and printer

You'll need to either put it back in or replace it.
You need to have both color and black cartridges in for your printer to work.
Never throw away cartridges, save money and refill them or you can take them to most any computer store for recycling.

Ink spots on paper

If the spots are all one color, the toner cartridge of that color has a problem. Check the drum on that cartridge and make sure there are no bad spots on it. Your cartridge could be leaking toner.

Why won't my CX9400F recognize Epson ink cartridges

The Epson CX9400F printer seems to require replacement of all the color ink cartridges, even if only the Black is empty.

I print almost exclusively in Black, but with my first change of Black, I was forced to change all the color. At the time I thought Epson did not provide completely filled color ink cartridges.

Just yesterday, I replaced Black and the printer complained it did not recognize the rest of color cartridges. So I replaced all the other color ink cartridges and now it works fine.

You might want to check out www.clickinks.com for cheaper, mail order alternatives which are Epson ink compatible, if you are not in a hurry.

Canon Multipass F30 not printing

Did you remove the tab that covers the cartridge head where the ink comes out, if the drivers and software that you loaded on your pc work
good and your printer shows under device MGR, then it is the printer
itself,,most times you can not see how much ink in the cart,,,most are sealed,,,just try to put the cart in again and make sure it is locked in good,,try running the cleaning program with pc,,make sure the right
cart is in the right spot, bl in one spot and color in a spot.

Black won't print

I have this same model printer and had this same problem. I solved it by running the cleaning cycle repeatedly (30 times or more). It nealy drained the black cartridge, but they're cheap compared to a new printer ($100 for the mfc240c that replaced it). Press the ink button to the left of the display. Select "test print" and "print quality from the menus, then hit print. After printing, the display will ask if quality is ok. Press 2 for no. It will ask if the black was ok, press 2 for no, if the color looks ok, then press 1 when it asks if color is ok, then press 1 when it asks to start cleaning. In a minute or so, it will beep and tell you to press start. Once the sheet prints again, repeat the same sequence. I didn't even wait for the display, I would just press 2,2,1,1, each time it printed. At first the black section was blank, the one dash appeared, then two or three. I gradually gained on it until I had most of them working again, then let it set overnight and ran a few more cycles the next day and it finally all started working.

Epson Stylus C$$ Plus suspect Print-head problem Hi, I have a problem with my Epson Stylus C44 Plus. It has been out of use for over a year now and I recently bought a new set of cartridges. I installed the cartridges and carried out a head alignment, followed by a nozzle check. All colours apart from the blue colour printed correctly so I carried out a head cleaning test. This was done a few times and I even carried out a deep clean but with no results (apart from emptying the black cartridge in the process!). I assume that it could be a problem with either the print-head being clogged and/or the waste tank or sponge being clogged. Having read through this forum I think I will need to strip the printer down and give it a good clean through. One additional thing I did notice however is that the spring holding the waste tank and sponge must have become dislodged somehow, as the print-head makes a horrendous knocking noise whenever it moves to the right of the printer and it seems it is not aligning with something correctly. I moved the printer and noticed a spring had fallen out of it, after reading some posts here I assume that the spring holds this "mechanism" in place so the print-head aligns with it correctly. I keep thinking of binning it and getting a new printer but have just got 12 new carts off EBay, hence trying to solve the problem. I'm not after expert prints, just something cheap and cheerful that my eldest can use when he starts secondary school in September. Thanks in advance for any help, assistance or guidance. Paul
