How do you replace drivers side mirror on 1997 GMC Jimmy?

you need to remove the inner door panel.you will have to look for the screws holding the panel on at the arm rest area and behind the door handle.were the door lock lever is you will have to remove the plastic cover.then if you have power windows its easier as you don`t have to remove window handle,if its manual windows then there is a clip that must be removed to remove the handle, its located between the handle and the door panel and usually faces the handle knob, push the clip off of the handle.then you will have to go around the edge of the panel along the side and bottom and pull outward to disconnect the push in clips from the door.then move the panel to remove it from the door(may have to disconnect wire connectors).then in the upper right area of the inner door panel the bolts will be visible, make sure window is up.remove bolts and electrical wires if power mirrors and remove the mirror.install in reverse order.

Replace window motor on 1997 del sol

Remove the door handle with one #2 phillips screw, push forward. Push the 2 plasic clips on the release handle and the lock rod by rotating them away from the open end of the clip (clockwise for drivers side, counterclockwise for passenger side). Pull the lock rod and relese out of the clips. Remove the phillips screw in the bottom of the door grab handle. Remove the small black plastic piece on the upper forward corner of the door panel. Remove door panel, should be aproximately 10-12 clips. Once off, you'll see the window motor. Remove the outer window trim. Yes, you WILL break all the clips. I've not had much sucess no matter how careful I am. Use a 10mm wrench or socket to remove the window from the window regulator. You'll see 2 white plastic wedges with 10mm head bolts in them. Pull the window out of the track. If needed, loosen or remove the rear guide track. There also are two 10mm bolts holding the guide rail in. Remove the windoe regulator and motor assembly with (I believe) 3 10mm bolts. Once on the bench, remove the motor from the regulator and reinstall!

I have a 99 mitsubishi eclipse and I'm wondering how to install the door handle

i just did one on passenger door, roll window up, use 1/4" sockets, on door end, by door latch there is a 10mm, level with door handle, take off door panel inside, you'll see the window where its bolted, just behind that dip down shape of the window where it attaches, you'll see another 10mm bolt, take those 2 bolts out, remove the two extension rods, cliped on to handle lever, and lock cylinder, one on handle is white clip, one on cylinder is green clip, flip the snap part of clip away from rod, and slide rod out of clip hole, walla, pull handle out, unclip retainer clip from around slots holding cylinder into handle, and your done, p.s. try to reclip door handle rod into white clip before bolting back in to gain easier access to white clip and rod, green isnt as hard

How do you replce broken door handle?

This is a problem that you should be able to fix. With the interior door panel there are 3 screws. 2 in the arm rest and 1 on the door handle(opener), take those out. There is a C-clip on the window crank that needs to be removed. They make a cheap little tool to remove those but I've heard people using a shop rag and removing the c clip. To remove it, turn crank to around 9 oclock then slide the tool or rag behind the crank also coming from 9 oclock. Any position will work, my point being the tool must slide in from behind the crank handle. Use a flat head screwdriver to gently pry the edges of the door panel away. There are some little clips that pop loose. It's okay if some break you can buy more. After that you will slide the door handle (opener) forward a little to pop out. Twist and turn the panel to get it over the door handle. There are 2 bolts that hold the handle on from the inside. They are 10 mm. You can reach the most forward one pretty easy but the back one is taken out through a hole in the metal door panel. Mine had a sticker over the hole with a big yellow dot on it. After that it takes some pretty good force to get the handle out of the hole. Don't be afraid to push on it. When it pops out take some wire cutters and cut the little plastic clip that holds the metal rod to the handle. The lock twists out of the hole. Now this is when you need 3 hands. Hold the new handle close to the opening and twist the lock into position. Don't attach the metal rod yet. Now actually put your key in the lock. This helps you hold the lock in the correct position while inserting the handle. Put the top of the handle in first and then the bottom should snap in next. Now from the inside, reach up and slide metal rod in the hole and rotate the plastic clip to secure it. Now the hardest thing is getting that back bolt in. It helps again to leave the key in the lock and rotate it so the bolt can secure the locking mechanism to the handle. Put the front bolt in reinstall the interior door panel and you should be in business. Good Luck

Kia Door Handle

Remove the door trim inside by loosen 3 bolt with screw driver, then pull out the door trim, after that loosen the hex.bolt (3 hex-bolt) on lock mechanism bracket, after that you can loose bolt (4 hex bolt) on handle cover. Be careful to not drop the bolt, because the gap on sliding door is too narrow. After you removing the handle assembly you can see where is the broken. You can remove the handle from cover by removing pin clips on it. To fixing the broken handle you can just using plastic glue or you can drill a small hole and put some small wire to reinforce the plastic.

ok normally there are only a few screws or bolts that hold the door panel on sometimes they are located on the door handle on the inside somewhere or inside a small pop out panel on the door panel itself. Dont force anything because if you break any of the clips then you are in real trouble and have to either replace the clips or replace the door panel itself. just check and see if on the door handle has any screws or bolts. Most of the time there are just a few screws or bolts and a few clips. If there are clips try to pop them out really easy ok. If you have anymore questions just ask. I hope I helped
