You need to search for the manufacturer's (of your PC, or the sound card if it's an add on) support site and you should be able to download the latest driver there after isolating your model PC and selecting "downloads".
If you post the Make and Model of the PC in question, we will be able to provide the link to the support site that has the driver you need.
Another option is to do a Windows update manually and select "Custom" for the install option and look at optional hardware and software and that might FixYa too.
Good luck.

Im not getting my audio driver for my computer and my motherboard number is 945

945 is just the Intel chipset reference for your Mainboard and it does not tell any more info regarding other devices ie on your mainboard. You have to give the Name of the mainboard ie any serial or reference in order to make a search on the web. What Operating System(OS) you are using ie different OS uses different drivers versions.

Best or more accurate options is to go to the mainboard manufacturer website to make a driver search for the board.

Hope it helps.

You are download grading your Operating System to XP from Vista. Drivers for Vista and XP are diferent.

You can download the Audio drivers for XP from Dell Support Site for your laptop.
Check your "Device Manager" and uninstall the previous drivers and reinstall the XP Audio drivers downloaded from Dell Site.

Hope it helps.

I am having xp as well as 98 os on my computer. the sound icon in xp is proper but in 98 is giving error with yellow highlight and ? sign. not able to hear the sound. Need driver on the same.

You have dual OS on your system, the "yellow sign" indicate that the drivers for Win98 is not properly installed.

You have to reinstall the sound drivers for Win98. What is the model/Name/brand of your motherboard or sound/audio device before we can help you to locate the drivers for Win98.

I have reinstall the windows xp prof to my hp laptop. wen i play music no sounds. wat should i do?

The reason you dont have any sound is that the sound card on your Laptop needs a driver to work normally again, There is usually a website where you can download the drivers from the manufacturer of your laptop for example : dell, compaq.. just reply with the model of your computer and i can help you find the necessary drivers for the sound.
Cheers !!!

I HAVE GIGABYTE 945 SERIES MOTHERBOARD and my os is Xp Service pack 2 ..am unable install the audio drivers

Find the model number, (if you dont already know it, it should be next to the pci slots in your motherboard), and go to: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/
Under Support and Downloads section, click motherboards, and find your model number. Download all the drivers for it. Good luck :).

V3424au presario notebook update

This is possible but will take some patience. Install Windows XP & Service Pack 2 Then check what drivers are NOT installed by going to device manager. Then go the the Compaq page that lists the drivers for Vista: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&cc=uk&dlc=en&product=3446906&lang=en Make a note of the name/model of these drivers and search for the XP equivelent usually by visitng the device manufacturers website. Im sorry this is complicated and long winded but its the only way.

Hi, To be able to help you on what audio driver to install, pls specify brand, model and version of your motherboard. If not printed on the MB itself, maybe you can check the info on POST or visually check the audio chipset on the mobo. Pls post back the info/details. Kind regards.
