Question about Danby Silhouette DWC512BL Wine Cooler
We own a Danby DWC283BLS 30 silhoutee wine cooler and an error of e3 came on, called danby and was a sensor and had it installed by a service dept. in SLCity, Utah ASI. After 2 month's the same error message came on again e3 and it has leaked water in a little water tray in the back and it has leaked onto our hardwood floor twice. Where is the water coming from? I think I bought a lemon of a cooler from RC Willey in SLCity, Utah. Now what do I do with this cooler. I can't keep replacing ther sensor plus pay labor of $80.00 to $100.00 for repair every time the error message comes on. How long will it last the next time?Thank you for your help. Very frustrating with this product. The cooler is close to 2 years old. I have heard a wine cooler can last as long as 10 or more years before they go down or have a problem with it.Thank you for your help,email@example.com
Check if the orifice is clean. If not, dissassemble, soak it in solvent and blow with pressurized air. Do not put wire through the orifice as it will surely change the size and wreck the said part.

Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,
Go to where you bought it, and ask them to replace it with a new one.
more than likely you will not have a problem !
If they talk around it and want to send service again, tell them replace it or you will stop your charge and never buy another thing in their store.
WE the retailers are at the mercy of the charge cards, that if they stop payment , or pull the money back out of our accounts, can do nothing about it but satisfy you the customer to get re payed!
This will SOLVE your problem.
You do have a 1 year warranty, but never wait!!!!!!!!!
Do it now!!!
Happy to help.
You will get a replacement from the store or Danby!
Just be calm & sweet and nice. Not angry or even raise your voice!!
I Know you will be 100 % satisfied!
"It is easier to keep the customers you have than find new ones!"
Please remember to leave me a "Solved" rating before you go!
Thank you, Huuum

that's always a possibility but not always the case. The thermostat may not be cycling correctly or set wrong. The condenser could be dirty or if there is a fan, it may not be running. Freeze ups can also cause an "Out of temp." condition. Check it out.

wine coolers have no means of draining the condensate inside them, use silica gel(1/2 pint)to keep the inside dry(remember to dry it out when condensate happens again)

This product is now retired however was able to locate your manual here:
Verify you have power to the unit?
Have you provided proper spacing of 5" between the unit and any adjacent wall? Note these are free- standing units and are not meant to be built in.
Make sure it is not located adjacent a heat source or in direct sunlight.
Check to make sure you have set the temperature controls correctly. See page 4 of the manual. Note if the power is interrupted your settings are erased and the cooler will default to the preset temperatures.
if you have power and the temperature settigns are correct ther eis likely an issue with the compressor and it may need to be serviced.
