Danby DWC283BLS 30 Silhoutee wine cooler

We own a Danby DWC283BLS 30 silhoutee wine cooler and an error of e3 came on, called danby and was a sensor and had it installed by a service dept. in SLCity, Utah ASI. After 2 month's the same error message came on again e3 and it has leaked water in a little water tray in the back and it has leaked onto our hardwood floor twice. Where is the water coming from? I think I bought a lemon of a cooler from RC Willey in SLCity, Utah. Now what do I do with this cooler. I can't keep replacing ther sensor plus pay labor of $80.00 to $100.00 for repair every time the error message comes on. How long will it last the next time?Thank you for your help. Very frustrating with this product. The cooler is close to 2 years old. I have heard a wine cooler can last as long as 10 or more years before they go down or have a problem with it.Thank you for your help,

SOURCE: Danby propane refrigerator won't work.

Check if the orifice is clean.  If not, dissassemble, soak it in solvent and blow with pressurized air.  Do not put wire through the orifice as it will surely change the size and wreck the said part.

SOURCE: we have a danby dwc283bls wine cooler that no

that's always a possibility but not always the case. The thermostat may not be cycling correctly or set wrong. The condenser could be dirty or if there is a fan, it may not be running. Freeze ups can also cause an "Out of temp." condition. Check it out.

SOURCE: Danby DWC283BLS has condensation inside the unit.

wine coolers have no means of draining the condensate inside them, use silica gel(1/2 pint)to keep the inside dry(remember to dry it out when condensate happens again)

SOURCE: danby wine cooler not cooling

This product is now retired however was able to locate your manual here:

Verify you have power to the unit?

Have you provided proper spacing of 5" between the unit and any adjacent wall? Note these are free- standing units and are not meant to be built in.

Make sure it is not located adjacent a heat source or in direct sunlight.

Check to make sure you have set the temperature controls correctly. See page 4 of the manual. Note if the power is interrupted your settings are erased and the cooler will default to the preset temperatures.

if you have power and the temperature settigns are correct ther eis likely an issue with the compressor and it may need to be serviced.

Danby wine cooler compresser not running and is hot

The compressor needs to be tested to see if it's operational. This normally needs to be done by a service tec.

E4 message

Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and wait 30 minutes before pluging back in. This should clear all settings on the cooler.

E4 Code

Dear moriquenda
welcome to fixya.
Did you try resetting the system by pulling the plug and waiting 5 minutes then restarting the wine cooler? This may solve you problem.

Danby expects customers to call service and does not imagine the rest of the world being able to utilize these codes.
Closed minded, Huh?

Danby DWC283BLS Wine Cooler - Error message E3 & E4

Is the compressor running? I don't know this unit, but know that if you are too warm that is the first thing to check. In reading about another unit that had a different problem, it was mentioned that there is a ciruit board. If it has relays on it then these are the most likely culprit. They are either not making contact or staying in contact too long... sometimes just tapping each relay usually a black plastic component will cause it to work intermittently..Not sure if you can get these but call the company help line at 1-800-263-2629.
