Here is the manual for the V3. If this is not your model you can google that model or look in support on the motorola website. http://www.phonedog.com/cell-phone-research/motorola-razr-v3-black_user-manual.aspx Eric
Select the contact to be erased, click options ( should be one of the top soft keys) then select erase. If you want to delete all of them go to contacts and select options there. Erase All should be at the bottom of the list. If it asks for a lock code it is the last four of digits of the phone's cell phone number. Hope this helps! :-)
The following is from the Razr V3 manual: Master Clear - Clear all user settings and entries except SIM card information, erase all downloaded pictures and sound files, reset all options except unlock code, security code, and lifetime timer. Caution: Master clear erases all user-entered information (including phonebook and datebook entries) and user-downloaded content (including photos and sounds) stored in your phone's memory. After you erase the information you cannot recover it.
you want to go to(i have a dummy v3m, may be slightly different) menu, settings, security, now this is where things get goofy.... the passowrd could be all zeros 4,6,or 8. or commonly the last 4 of the phone number. i would recommend choosing erase my contacts, and erase my contect before doing reset phone. do the first 2 and that shoould get rid of all the personal info you dont want someone else getting.
Have you tried erasing old pix and text messages? If you check your phones available memory, and you have a lot of pix etc you can get a micro sd card and move your pix and videos to it. You check memory by going into menu, then se1ttings/tools, then phone info , other information usually...Good Luck
There is a software package called Motorola Phone Tools that you can use to install both a driver for the RAZR V3 and also software that allows you to backup/restore phone settings, handle media files, and other stuff. Unfortunately it's not free software, so I can't encourage you to download it without paying for it, but I use it with my RAZR V3i and it works great. Good to know you can back up all your Contacts so if you lose your phone or SIM you can get 'em back.
It will also allow you to get in there and delete/add Contacts as you see fit. The deluxe version is $40 and may be worth the investment.
