Most the time on kenmore whirlpool the noise is the basket drive and gear case needs replaced some time you can replace basket drive fix it and 90% time all it is depends on clicking noise is the coupling between motor and gear case bad if you have rubber pieses on floor ubder it thats all it is very cheap to repair

Turn on...makes clicking noise, nothing happens. Minutes tick down and then goes to pause. door is not locking. Cleaned filter, only found one cent.

The door lock mechanism is easy to replace. The fact that there are a hundred for sale on eBay tells you how often they break. If the door doesn't lock, it wont fill or do anything else.

Our Washer has a loud "ticking" noise in the wash

Could be something like a bra strap between the inner and outer drums. need to remove the agitator and inner drum to investigate and remove.
Could also be a bearing in the drive gearbox, if this is the case the machine is not worth repairing as the box is sealed and not serviceable.

Machine wont spin or drain.makes ticking noise when in spin or wash cycle then stops can you help?

if the timer is still running (ie the ticking noise) and it isnt doing any thing you may have a broken coupling - belt or the motor is shot

The drain pump of my whirlpool duet washer makes a ticking noise

Hi, Remove your strainer cover, located in the kick panel at the front, and use a mirror and flashlight to see up into the pump cavity. It sounds like there is enough debris in the strainer and pump to explain your problem. Remove any foreign material you find.

Tub fills up and then goes to a ticking/whirring noise.

Problem fixed. I called a shop and they gave me their hunch and sure enough they were right. It was the coupler between the tranny and the motor. Thanks.

Ticking/chirping sound during slow spin

it will more than likely be a bra wire stuck between inner and outer drum it will only sound when clothing is in it due to the weight of clothing and water so it wont be heard with just water init or by pushing it around by hand only thing u can really do is eiether strip it yourself or by getting an engineer in but what i would do is leave it after a while it will dislodge itself and go into the pipe underneath the washer in the pipe that is in the middle of the drum check this when the sound stops love
