Viewsat platinum 2000 dead

-   It is doing the same thing that the VS Ultra does once in a blue moon but they have a fail fix (mainpgm) for that receiver, I have not seen a mainpgm for the VS Platinum. It will not take any fix at all the display gives you all sorts of different shaped displays and the remote will not do anything. The whole time trying to load with the null cable.. I have heard of trying to hook it to a working platinum and transferring data but I am afraid of pooching my buddies platinum.. any ideas? -   deepee1

-   i recently tried to install newfile from nov 15th and no my box wont take any new files not the factory file or new bin files the factory default wont work and for the person who said the box goes to 00.00 that is a clock it starts at 0 and counts in minutes now mine does the same but i can cut mine on and even still has the old nov 11th file can get ch. 100 but that is all any help please

-   after factory bin 080404 box is frozen and display is stuck at 8888 will not load factory bin on anything sometimes display is blank
