Yeah I've got the same problem....I keep getting No Disk Error. I keep on ejecting the disk and putting it back and then sometimes I'll hear the disk spinning and then it works. I'm suspecting that it's a defective drive. Anyone know where I can get a replacement drive for it?

I have the same problem, i brought it for repair before the warranty was over and they replaced it by a new one, but now i have the same problem. It's a great system, when it works. I'm gonna ask for a refund, and i hope everyone with the same problem will do so.

I read this from another site I tried it and it worked.

If you are getting No Disc issues, blow on it using some compressed air. After I did that several times, my discs had no problems getting recognized and playing again.

Dvd sometimes reads error

If this problem occurs only at this dvd it's a disk problem. If it occurs on various disks try using a cd/dvd cleaner set, a wet one is better. Follow the instructions on the set. The main idea is to put one drip of the included liquid at the set (usually isopropyl alchohol) at a specific place (like small brush) on the disk surface and play this disk. That way the "brush" will clean up the laser lens and after that the cd/dvd player will be able to read the disks. BE CAREFULL not to put too much liquid on the "brush".

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply.

In case you can, use a Q-tip with isopropylic alchool to clean up the cd lens manually. In case this don't solve your problem, the cd player needs laser lens replacement by a technician.

Will only play copied disks. will not play

this is because you used original disk`s from different areas. Try this:
1. Open tray and remove any disks in tray.
2. Close tray.
1. Switch Off Player and Unplug from mains wait 30 seconds (this clears RAM)
2. Reconnect to mains
3. Turn on player with remote.
4. Press ENTER on remote.
5. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9. Using keys on remote.
6. Press ENTER on remote. (The player will power off.)
7. Switch on power from remote.
8. Player is now Region Free.

My DVD palyer will not play copied movies. They play for a while and then begin to act up.

Have you tried a different brand of recordable disk?
Some do not record as well as others.
Also......copied Dvds don't last as long as a factory recorded disk.
If the disks are older disks....that may be it.
Other factors are ....your laser may be weak or dusty in the DVD player.
Do your disks have paper labels?
BINGO!
The paper has a different expansion rate than the plastic disk and will almost always bend the disk in the heat of the player......interrupting the playing of the disk....... usually about half way through it.......pop the disk into the freezer for a few minutes....then return it to your player to finish your viewing.
Never use paper labels.
Never leave your DVD player on unless you are using it.

It has no region code .You can download anydvd at slysoft.com

'PLAYBACK PROHIBITED DUE TO AREA LIMITATIONS'

Check area code at your unit and usualy its printed at back side. If your unit belongs to code 1, it will play only region code 1 dvds and so on other codes.

HD Disks

Salutations martyd50,

Only very specific players will play HD - DVD's. the Bose systems are currently only configured for standard DVD's

On a side note, HD - DVD's are being phased out by many retailers, and hardware manufactures.

Hope this helps.
