Backlight on my Roland D50 does not show up when powered up.All that happens is that the screen changes from black to a very feint yellowy green and there is no sound at all from the synth .... any ideas? First of all part of the screen would function and the rest just pixilate. A gentle knock in the immediate vicinity would sometimes bring it fully on and playable but that has now stopped altogether ...... Writer7

BOSS ME -70 has Random digits appearing on the display screen like 4 and 5 and volume level of the patch ,eg: 86. When this happens d the output sound decreases significantly.What do I do?

Why do you not give detailed information about the brand and model?
How do others know what brand keyboard yours?
There are so many brands keyboards, and each brand is divided in many models. For example,Yamaha PSR900, Roland D50, Hammond B3, Lowrey Liberty etc.

Will a memory card M256E or M512E that has been programmed on a Roland D110 work on a D5 / D10 / or D20. I have such a card with the RTOM Theatre organs sounds on it, programmed on a d-110?

As I recall, D110 voice programs will tranfer the voice data to D4/10/20 but not D50. However, no setup or performace data will transfer.
However, it's been quite a while since I've used a D110.

Roland r8 has flashing green light

Are you using the correct AC adapter? An aftermarket unit will do this if the power is insufficient, or the polarity is wrong (- / +). If you're using an aftermarket unit, it may not be providing the right amount of Amps and Voltage to the unit; causing the display to blink. My Roland G70 power up problem. .

Open up the Roland G-70 and check if all the connectors and flatcables are well seated. Check also if the power supply is working as supposed to.

When I switch on the power in the roland HPD 15 handsonic, the number screen in the centre has the light but is blank, and the semicircle which has the numbers for different percussions has two lights on...

I had this problem and was about to send it back to Roland but tried a Factory Reset . It managed to fix it self but it has happened again so I woul dbe interested in finding a more perminnat solution .
Did you fix the probolem?

Make sure the power adapter is rated at 2 amps or 2000ma and full 9 volts.

This sounds like you have a failure in the power supply. This could be due to a bad solder joint or a failed component. The part cost should be minimal.

The backlight sounds like it is not getting the full voltage. The electronics mostly will run on 5 volts DC. Below about 4.75 volts things just won't work.
