No sound on my Lenovo 075122u.

This computer in a Lenovo 076122u notebook and it was formatted and windows brought back up with it. Before it was formatted it had sound, no there's no sound. I've gone to Lenovo's website and downloaded the audio driver, which only replaces files of the same the name each time and does not prompt to restart. I see no Realtek installed. When I go into Device Manager, I have yellow question and exclamation marks on everything in the 'Other devices' menu which includes Multimedia Audio Controller, PCI Flash Memory, PCI Flash Memory, PCI Modem, Video Controller, and Video Controller (VGA Compatible). When I try to update any of them it can't find any files though I have the Windows XP CD(which is the OS). I've been searching for solutions all day and can't find anything. I don't want to have to spend any money on this. Can someone help?

Are you forget to install sound driver during installing operating system on your laptop? So first check that drivers are properly install or not. If it is not install, install it. If already installed, try to update it.

Still you are not getting any sound on your dell laptop so it also possible that the sound card is possibly dead. If the computer uses on-board sound (meaning there is no separate card with sound jacks on it), that is more problematic. That part on the board cannot be replaced without replacing the whole motherboard, normally. In either case, install a new sound card and use its jacks for audio.

Feel free to get technical assistance at http://www.vtechsquad.com/lenovo-support/ if you get any issue with your Lenovo laptop/desktop.

When i am formating my laptop it show me setup did not find any hard disk... i am using windows 7 and i want to install xp but this problem is occur so please give me solution .... thnx

Hi. Are you using the Recovery disk from Lenovo or is it another Windows installer. Using oher Cd's other Lenovo Recovery disk will not work. Your computer's motherboard is locked in using lenovo's recovery disk that came with the system. if you want your system back and running. You must use lenovo recovery disk.

Can"t surf the net after i format my laptop

You evidently reformatted your hard drive. I would assume that you then installed Windows.
Did you reinstall all the Lenovo drivers for your computer? Sounds like you probably didn't or you would be able to connect to the internet like you used to do.
So--you need to go to Lenovo's site, download all the drivers for your computer (especially the network adapter) and install them on your laptop.

Want to format my lenovo y410 notebook

it's possible but i strongly recommend not doing it.

the main problem is that there are usually not XP drivers written for computer components designed for vista. i've even tried to revert a couple laptops back to XP myself, and after a long struggle, got everything working besides audio - because XP does not support HD audio used in vista computers. and even to get the rest of the components working, i had to edit the driver inf files.

you can check the manufacturer web site to see if your model has XP driver support, but if they don't, like i said i would strongly recomment staying with vista.
