No read on my 2008 panasonic dvd recorder DMR-EZ485V

Insert a lens cleaning disc into it and let it play. If this do not help you, the optical pickup unit to your playder is faulty, and should be replaced.

I went to turn on the Panasonic DVD Model DMR-ES20DEB and there was no power to the machine . I have checked the fuse and that was ok . I checked the lead and power is going to the machine , there is...

I have found a bad capacitor that opens "sometimes bulge at the top" right near the power transistor that is usually heat sink-ed. The odd time the power transistor will short causing the power supply to load down.

Will my non finalzied discs play on a panasonic ez 28 or ex 768

You will have no problem playing your non finalized discs on any of the Panasonic DMR range including the DMR EZ28 series. The DMR E55 can also easily be repaired if you can use a soldering iron and a little care. Please checkout my other postings for full repair details.

    Dvd will not eject

Try holding down the stop button (black square logo) and the channel change button (upward pointing logo) at the same time for 5+ seconds. If this dos'nt work also press open/close button at the same time as above

    Panasonic DVD problems

sorry to say but both of these sound like loader problems.ie the optics are faulty, you have to replace the full assy called a loader assy when this happens.Panasonic are the only company who offer part exchange tru authorised dealers.ie send back the faulty one and they will give reduced price on new one,.As to other makes see a lot of sonys with optic problems as well so isint just a panasonic problem. You could also try using ordinary dvdrs instead of ram discs as the optic has to work harder when recording and playing ram disc due to information contained.Hope I helped!
