Re: tv wont come on
This normally means the HV transformer (flyback) has shorted. I would suggest a new HV/deflection pwb. for this unit. This part is not too expensive. Find the service # on the back that includes the model # and a yx..... # and I can get you the part # and price.

After being on a little while, the screen goes black (no audio as well) for 20 to 30 seconds. Green light stays on. Then, picture comes back on and takes a couple of seconds to get up to full brightness. About 5 seconds or so after the video comes back, the audio returns.
Until this morning, has only happened a couple of times a day, now happening more often. About 3 times in last 20 minutes.
Minium is the green picture tube need to be replaced, if you can take the front cover and access panel off there is a control with 3 focus and screen controls.
you can adjust the 3 screen controls to possibly get a little more time out of it before the crt's need to be replaced. careful if you turn them down too much there will be no picture, and if you turn them too high the tv will go bright and shut off
I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
