Generic problem for all Electric Fans

Light doesn't work (by 2 users)

posted by malenamaria on Feb 27, 2008

Hello,

I have a white Hampton Bay ceiling fan that has been in my apartment for that last 5 years.

A few months ago the light stopped working. I bought a new light bulb (its that white loop shaped bulb) and replaced it but it still doesn't work.

I do not know the model of my fan. All I can tell you its white, its on the celing and tha light comes with a glass shade that you just sort of turn around and it comes off.

Please, please help me.

I have two Hunter ceiling fans, the lights went out on both of them, tryed replacing the bulb, however, that did not solve the problem. The fan works fine with remote.

if you have a remote control, check the switches inside of it... default setting is all four of them should be pointing upward.
