Solved ....when it projects it says to push Fn and F7 simultaneously for Lenovo laptops. The symbol for the F7 on Lenovo is the computer screen and keyboard plus a screen with a line attaching. On the Toshiba it is the F5 key. Pressing the Fn and F5 keys on the Toshiba simultaneously gives 5 box choices, the middle is CRT and the correct one to transfer from computer screen to projector.
there is a burned-in spot on the polerizer light filter for the blue lcd. it makes sure the light is blue coming through, that's why it is black on a blue screen, and yellow when the red and green are the only light showing through. it needs to be replaced. pat # PFiLW0213CEZZ.
the light tunnel is either collapsing and blocking the light going through it (and needs replacement) or the vertical/hoizontal adjustment of the tunnel. if you take the lamp out and move the colorwheel (with a pencil eraser) to the clear section, you should be able to see a square through it. if part of the square is blocking the middle, the tunnel needs replacing.
by the way, on some projectors the light tunnel is called an integrator rod.
