Problem with 8GB Zen Micro

I dropped the zen on a concrete floor but it has a very tough exterior so nothing is cracked. When i turn it on it automatically tries to rebuild the library and stops halfway through. Im missing alot of the songs that i put on it. Also when i plug it into the computer it still charges but rhapsody no longer recognizes that i plugged it up so im not able to put any more songs on it.

I drop my 8Gb Zen on a concrete floor, it didn't turn off but when i was listening to my music it started acting up repeating some part of a song and then stopped. I turned it off hoping that it will fix it. to my surprise when i turned it back on it started rebuilding the library which i thought was good until it stopped half way and it was back to the start screen. i tried to put back the music i was listening to but it wasn't there along with the rest of the album. i then try to put the music back into it only to find out that it doesn't get recognized by the computer and every time i turn it off and turn it back on it rebuilds the library.

Zen Micro 8gb freezes during transfers -6gb model works fine!

Now convinced this is bad boot sector on the HD and searching for a repair utility (the inbuilt zen reformat option doesn't sort it) or have to replace HD with new one.

Dropped MP3 player

It depends on wether the MP3 was dropped in water. If it was, it PROBABLY be dried out depending on the severity of the problem. If it wasn't, it's probably broken. If you plan on getting a new one, I suggest an RCA Lyra. They're very durable and tough. I've already dropped it 6 times at school and not one problem so far. Hope it works
