The top screen on my ds doesn't work all it does it is stays white what do i do

    My nindento ds top screen dosn't work it lights up but no text or picture comes up. I removed the battery and charged it but when I turned it on the top lit up but no text or picture came up. Please help me!

    i have the same problem when it powers on the top screen stays white on very rare ocasions when i tap the back of the screen the picture will come on but then go again

    my little brother dropped his last night and is so sad now he like worshipped that thing. lol. if no one can fix this hes buying a new one tomorrow

Hmm same here. my brother dropped it. ive tried shaking it and stuff. it disappears after a while

It's a poor connection to your top screen that's your problem, the issue is either that the conection is loose that holds the top screen ribbon cable to the board or that the ribbon cable to the top screen is damaged and will require replacing

My dsi top screen is white but the bottom works fine
There may be a cable loose in the system causing the screen to stay white. You will need to have this repair or it will stay that way. A place I would recommend is www.videogame911.com. They offer good repairs and are fast.

The fact the bottom screen flashes and the top doesn't indicates that the top screen needs replaced! Although do not attempt this as a D.I.Y project as its more complex than some think. And the 2 speakers also need to be desoldered and then resoldered to the ribbon on the new top screen and this requires soldering skills. If you stay in the glasgow area you welcome to contact me for repairs.

Ds lite top screen problem
My ds has the same problem, except it stays white! but only because the cords on the left side of the ds (bust the part where the two light indicators are, power and charging, and slide the top screen to the right, then you should see the cords.) are not connected ore are lose from the central part of the ds. Ask nintendo or somebody who is a whire repairer to connect these wires.

My top screen wont work
Your ribbon cable may be damaged or it might have come loose from the board. The LCD might also be bad. Either way the system would have to be taken apart and this is an undertaking on the DS. If it's under warrenty call Nintendo and have them replace it. If not you'll want to find a repair center. I've done these repairs many of times and unless you really know what you're doing with the DS it's easy to break it much worse than it started out. There are plenty of these on ebay where people have simply made it worse.
