The flashing standby light on your Luxor TV can indicate several things, including:
Power supply issues: If the TV is not receiving proper power, the standby light will flash.
Malfunctioning hardware: A malfunctioning component in the TV such as the power supply, main board, or backlight system can cause the standby light to flash.
Overheating: If the TV is overheating, it will go into protection mode and the standby light will flash.
Software issues: A software glitch can also cause the TV to display a flashing standby light.
If the flashing standby light persists, it's best to unplug the TV, wait a few minutes, and then plug it back in. If the problem persists, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a professional repair service for further assistance.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
The self-diagnostic function of the projection TV will cause the STANDBY
light to blink or flash when the television detects an issue. The number of
times the STANDBY light flashes corresponds to a specific issue. As per the two
examples below, some of the issues may be resolved without the need for service.
If the STANDBY light flashes three times in
sequence, the lamp cover is not securely attached. Reattach the lamp cover to
resolve this issue.
If the STANDBY light flashes four times in
sequence, the TV may be overheating. To resolve this issue, ensure that the back
of the TV is well ventilated.
If the flash sequence is not listed above or the light continues to flash,
follow the steps below to perform a power reset:
Turn off the television.
IMPORTANT: For a
projection TV that uses an internal lamp, wait 5 minutes after turning off the
TV to allow the lamp to cool before continuing with the following steps.
Unplug the TV power cord from the electrical outlet.
Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
NOTE: If the TV is plugged into
a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge
protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved,
the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the TV.
Turn on the television.
NOTE: If the TV does not turn on
immediately, the fan may need to finish its cycle. This is part of the cooling
process for some projection TVs and is normal operation. After the fan turns
off, attempt to turn the TV on again.
If the issue is still unresolved after following all of
the troubleshooting steps, service may be required . Please note the number of times the
STANDBY light flashes and relay that information to the service center.
Please check batteries in remote that seems not working. Sony TV would either turns On or standby light will blinks if TV gets any internal problem. You question shows standby light stays On that means TV does not receive power on command from remote. If standby light is blinking in sequence, let me know how many times it is blinking and also intimate exact model number of TV to find out possible solution. Thanks.
