Machine tries to switch to drain but solinoid doesnt click and water doesnt drain after few minutes display says there is a problem and we should check drain line all of which are ok.

If you lift the lid and close again sometimes it will go back to work and sometimes not.

seems like whatever changes mode is getting hung in between. I do not beleive the lid switch has any thing to do with it since the machine acknowledges that you have closed lid but drain pump doesnt always respond.

It only seems to malfunction at the point where it is supposed to drain and rinse

My LG WM0642H washer won't drain, and therefore won't move to spin.  I have empited the small  black drain pump and cleaned filter 3 times.  It still keeps stopping - won't spin, because water is still in drum and won't drain during rinse cycle.  I have plugged and unplugged the machine, I tried the "no spin" option - would not drain then either.  I have even checked the drain hose that flows into the house's drain pipe (clear).  Can you help me?

I found the connection to the pump was loose and upon further investigation,I found the pump was close to needing replaced due to moister getting into motor.

The most annoying part of this whole experiance was trying to obtain the correct parts.
First attempt I recieved the wrong part completely second try they sent me a worn out pump in a brand new box, third time they got it right huray!!!!

Based on my findings I would feel safe in saying this is going to be a real problem for those of us who own this machine!

Why won't my Whirlpool washer drain

If the washer is a top loader, then it probably is a broken lid switch, or blocked pump. If the washer is a front loader, then you have to take the front lower panel off and undo the tub to pump hose and check for any obstructions in the sump part of that hose, or in the pump itself. Sometimes the pump impeller breaks away from the armature.

I have a ge profile washer machine washes and spins but wont drain

Hi.

Disconnect power, then locate the access to drain pump. On GE top loader the pump access is usually at the back, sometimes at the bottom. Disconnect the hose from the pump and remove any blockage in there.

Check also the height of the drain hose at the back and ensure that the hose is set according to manual. An drain hose set incorrectly will result in drain problems.

If that does not fix the problem, clean or replace the pressure switch and pressure hose that detects water level determining when to start and stop draining.

Regards.

Water is not pumping out of my fisher and paykel top loader

Hi
If the washer is not draining then it is due to a clogged drain pump or a drain filter or a kinked drain hose. To resolve the issue you'll need to clean the drain hose, inspect if the drain hose is plugged. If the hose is fine, then remove the front kick panel and access the drain pump and filter, if you are unable to find the pump and filter remove the back panel as well and trace the drain hose to the bottom of the tub. There is a drain filter connected with the drain pump. It usually gets clogged, and needs to be cleaned every 6-8 months or so. The drain filter is a small white filter connected to drain pump with a hose. If it still doesn't work then you'll need to check the connections of the drain pump, check the electrical connections with a multimeter. If it still doesn't work then you would need to replace the drain pump. Please revert for any further assistance.
Hope this helps...

Washer will not drain GE washer

If you have a top loader, try this.
If it agitates but doesn't spin or pump, it could be that your pump is seized or something is stuck in it. The agitator is operated by a different motor. Turn OFF the power. and remove the front vertical panel by inserting a drywall knife in a the top right about 4" in from edge at the joint 1" down from the top, push the clip back to release that corner, get another knife and do the same to the left top corner, the pull the top of the front panel and swing towards you, then lift off and remove. Discount the two hoses to the pump, one from the drum the other that goes to the back. Be ready for a considerable amount of water to come gushing out, use a hose to direct to a floor drain. Check to see if something is stuck in the pump or the hoses, remove it. Check to be sure the impeller spins. If you found something restricting the flow or pump, remove it and re assemble. If the impeller won't spin easily, then you need a new pump.

Remove blockage in the pump. Re-assemble and test.

Water wont go out of my top loader

Check the drain line for kinks or obstructions. Check the pump. Remove the hoses from the pump and use a flashlight to look into the suction port. Make sure nothing is clogging the pump, like the occasional stray piece of clothing, and check the pump impeller. Make sure there are no broken or missing blades and that the impeller will spin freely. If any blades are broken/missing or if you can't get the impeller to spin freely, the pump is defective. Hopefully it's just a clogged drain line, pump, or jammed impeller. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Daewoo Top loader washing machine water wont drain...

hi friend,
If your washer won't drain, check these:

It spins, but doesn't pump
It doesn't spin or pump
It pumps, but the water returns
It spins, but doesn't pump
If your washer spins but doesn't pump the water out, the drain line is probably clogged. In many
washers, a small sock or other piece of clothing can get between the clothes tub and the outer tub
that holds the water. If the clothing gets between the tubs, it may then get into the drain hose that's
attached to the pump--or even into the pump itself. If it's in the pump, you need to remove the
hoses
from the pump and pull the item out.

To remove the sock from the outer tub port, open the washer's main access panel and remove the
large-diameter rubber hose that connects the pump to the bottom of the outer tub. Then, using
needle-nose pliers, try to grab and remove the clothing through the port.

Sometimes you can't remove the stuck clothing from below. Then you have to remove the agitator,
top of the outer drum shield, and inner clothes tub. This isn't easy to do--and you may need special tools--so you might
be happier getting a qualified appliance repair technician to do the job.

If the drain line isn't plugged, the problem may be with your pump. Even if the pump appears to be
turning, the internal impeller may be broken. If so, you need to replace the pump.

It doesn't spin or pump
If your washer doesn't spin or pump water out but the motor is running, your washer probably
has a frozen pump pulley. If so, you need to replace the pump. To check the pulley, remove the
pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen
or stiff--replace it.

It pumps, but the water returns
If the water that pumps out of the machine goes back into the machine after the spin cycle, your
washer may be siphoning the water from a laundry tub that has a slow drain, back into the
washer. The usual remedy for this is to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is something stuck
in the drain?) Also, check for these problems:

* If the drain hose reaches more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub, cut off the excess.

* If your drain hose is lower than the washer's cabinet, install an air gap/siphon break assembly.
