Television won't recognize some channels - Televison & Video

It goes straight from channel 64 to 91, if I manually type in any channel between those two it's all static. The source is cable and I know the channels should work because I just had another TV plugged in and it worked.

Need more details to help out. What channels? Does it not go to the channel number? What's the source? Cable, Satellite, off air?

If the set has On screen menus, check the tuner settings. It could easily be set wrong.

Guide button won't work on my remote

Either have those buttons checked on another unit or have the remote tested (some digital cameras will react with remote pointed at them)

You need to determine if problem is in remote or the unit.

I have an old toshiba projection tv and i'm trying to program the channels but it won't go past channel 69 how do i get it to go higher. i've tried auto programing and that does'nt work.

In the menu check to make sure set is set to "cable" band and not "air"; 69 is as high as it will go if in air band.

Select CATV and not AIR.

before you rate this information let me know what you find or if you have questions.

Tv turns on manually, but auto flips through channels and you can't use remote

Found this in another forum (www.hometheaterspot.com) and it fixed my remote problem:

"...it's possible that one of the front panel buttons is "stuck" or shorted, and this could cause the TV to ignore commands from the front panel or remote. But this should also cause the Power command to be ignored, too. You might try pulling off the front panel and disconnecting the front panel buttons and then see if the remote works."
