I am getting a blue screen whenever i turn on my ps3. Ive tried resetting the system several times and can not find the solution. Audio works just a blue screen on the t.v.

Hi,
You said the sound works but you get a blue screen on the TV, check your TV if it is set properly.
Make sure the Input is correct on the TV to shoe the Video coming from the console and check if the cable connections are properly connected to the TV and the console video output and input.
Also try it on a different TV to see if the issues is with the TV or the Console itself if on a different TV and the issue is still the same the issue is the Video output from the console but to check further more try a different cable, borrow one or maybe buy a new one just to see and eliminate possible causes of the Blue screen issue.
I hope this helps.

Connecting Ps3 with philips tv (full hd) when i got hd cable in, and click to switch so the ps3 uses hd to show things and i than switch over to the channel i plugin the hdmi cabel it gives blac kscreen

If it's the first time using your PS3, use the composite cables that came with it. Turn on the PS3 go to video settings and switch the input to HDMI. After you've switched to HDMI, turn the PS3 off and connect your HDMI cable, go back to video settings and change the resolution to 1080p. If this isn't the first time you've used HDMI for your PS3, make sure your T.V. is on the correct input. If the T.V. is on the correct input, try switching the HDMI cable to a different input. If that doesn't work try using a different HDMI cable, testing different HDMI connections if you're still getting the black screen. If none of those work then it's probably a problem with the PS3, but just to make sure try plugging something else with HDMI to see if that works. If another HDMI device works, then it's your PS3, if it doesn't then it could be a problem with your HDMI connections on the T.V.

Connect home theatre to ps3 to 32" lcd tv

if your tv and home theatre system as all hdmi or component hook ups then follow these steps but only use all one or the other cables.
1. hook the cable from the ps3 to the home theatre "imput slot" (you choose which one you want to use)
2. hook a cable to the output slot on the home theatre system to your imput slot on your tv.
3. turn on all three systems, put your home theatre system on the correct function (which ever slots you decided to put the cables in to the input slots) then turn your tv to the correct AV channel

I am trying to connect the vcr to the tv with a cable box

There are two ways to connect your equipment.

1) Connect the cable box antenna output (may be labeled "out to TV", "antenna out", "catv out" or even something else, but the key is it will say "out") to the VCR's antenna input. From the VCR's antenna output (out to tv, etc.) you connect to the TV's antenna input. For these connections you use RF cables, the kind with something called F-connectors on the ends. (These cables are available with screw-on or push-on type plugs. Use the screw-on type which makes a more reliable connection.) Set your VCR and TV both on the cable box output channel. This will be either 3 or 4, depending on how the box is set up. With this setup you can record whatever program is coming from the box by having the VCR record on the box output channel. Unfortunately, you can't record shows that are on different cable channels unless you'll be there to change channels on the box. (There are some VCRs that can control a cable box to switch channels, but I don't believe your model does.) You also can't watch one channel while recording a different one.

2) (This won't work if your TV doesn't have a video input available.) Connect the cable box to the VCR and the VCR to the TV with audio/video cables. These are the ones with RCA plugs, color-coded red and white for right and left channel sound and yellow for video. Set the VCR to line input and the TV to the input you have the VCR connected to. This connection setup gives a better picture and sound quality that the RF connection described above. You still have the same restrictions on recording, though.

Sounds a little confusing, I know. Just remember that inputs connect to outputs and you'll be set up in no time.
