Sorry to say, but it it sounds like it's defective. If it's new you should return it for an exchange.

HAVE COBER 200GTL NO COME ON

this is a very nice radio (it was one of my first) , it works on cb and 10 meter ranges and has many high end features for a radio as this

if it wont light up , ck the inline power fuse that is inline to the red lead that connects to radio and the black lead needs to be well grounded to car frame , also this radio runs on 12 volts dc (std car battery) and NOT house mains power
also I know this radio did not come with a microphone included as they wanted user to customize there rig to there own tastes , a microphone being properly connected may be required on this model (I know it does on other models) to get radio to power up correctly ,

also never connect radio to power without a proper 10 meter balanced antenna connected properly to input on rig this will cause instant damage to radio

Got pop noise

Popping sounds are from the the ignition - spark plugs, wires and distributor. Most modern cars have "radio resistor plugs" & "spark plug wires" installed from the factory. If unsure on an older car, check under the hood and inspect the wires & plugs.

Make sure your radio AND antenna system are solidy grounded. Poor grounds can allow all kinds of strange sounds and erratic behavior from the radio.

Also, connect the + & - power leads DIRECTLY to the battery. You can pass the + lead through a dedicated relay that opens when the key is removed if you want, but avoid like the plague connecting the + lead to a terminal in the fuse box and the - lead to an arbitrary grounded point on the body. Direct connections to the battery helps to prevent a way for noise to enter the radio on the power leads.

You may also be hearing the electric fuel pump located in the fuel tank on many newer cars. Solving that sound is very difficult.

Good luck!

I have a Midland CB Car with no mike or a car power pluge, the model # is 70 - 336B and the serial # is 760408

Your midland CB will use a standard 4 pin wired CB plug which is most common for most mics sold today. Your power cord will be a standard 3 pin CB power cord which again is most common with CB's today. You need not purchase a "radio specific" cord or mic. Cobra, Uniden, Midland all the same mic pin out and power cords. Good luck.

Need unlock code for Blaupunkt car- radio(Fiat Punto 2000)

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here  for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST A BRAND  NEW  QUESTION

quoting  ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

There should be a 14 character Serial Number usually beginning with BP++++++++++++ (often found stamped in the metal) plus a model number beginning with 7 *** *** ***

Otherwise try your Main Dealer ...........or take it into a Decode Service who will plug in a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM). This takes a few minutes and shouldn`t be too expensive

Where do the 3 wires in back of my Cobra18wxst11 go? Can I use a cigarette lighter plug?

From www.Cobra.com

"Where do I connect the three power wires? (radios with 3 power leads)
Answer: Connect the black wire to chassis ground.

Connect the red wire to a switched +12 volt source, such as the fuse for the AM/FM radio.

The orange wire is for the memory retention of your CB radio, and should be connected to a constant +12 volt source. The fuse for the brake lights is usually a good choice.

With the radio wired as above, the radio will turn off when the ignition is turned off. The orange wire will provide power to the radio so that it remembers the channel.

If you are installing your Cobra CB radio in an application where you wish to utilize a cigarette plug to power the unit, connect the black wire to the negative lead (side terminal) on the plug. Connect both the red and orange wires together to the positive lead (center tip) of the plug. Your unit will function properly this way but will not retain the channel memory. When power is applied your radio will come up on channel 9."

Lost rx tx

You may have cold solder joints ( broken lead connection/s to the pc board) around the PLL chip area. Also you may have a switch that needs cleaned. To clean the switches, purchase some contact cleaner ( I use WD 40, although some techs don't recomend it ) and spray the switches and pots ( volume control, squelch etc )> Aviod getting any oil on the board. . Good Luck

Cb radio

You may be generating a harmonic from the cb that is picked up by the radio. Check if different channels and if AM/FM act the same. Also if a cd unit, does playing a cd produce the same effect. If all stations and the cd player do the same thing, interference is most likely coming in on the radio power or ground leads. You can get an inline noise filter from radio shack: http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103979&cp=2032058.2032230.2032273&parentPage=family
or you can make your own if you have an old computer power supply by using the toroids if you can get to the power supply lead. Make sure the radio housing is electrically connected to ground. The interference may also be coming in on the radio antenna. Try moving the cb antenna away from it if possible, or test by rotating the cb antenna to a horizontal position temporarily.
