Few questions here if you have an answer for will resolve this.

Is the system screen showing any message at the begining ?

If yes its not a problem with the monitor.

Check the Bios, if its accepting the harddisk. Initially while the system Just begins to run the bios.
If the Harddisk is detected in the Bios well and good. Else you need to check if the harddisk is connected properly to the mother board, if yes you may check if the HDD is compatible.

These steps should resolve the issue. Good Luck.

Help how to format lenovo ideapad s300 in windows 7

If you want to format your entire hard drive (and reinstall windows) You'll need to insert the appropriate windows disk. If you want to reinstall 7, insert your windows 7 disk and boot off of the disk (When booting, it should start by showing a screen that says "Press any key to boot from CD..." and you can just press a key on your keyboard. From there, follow the on screen instuctions. When you get to the drive partitioning step, select your hard drive and partition you want to format. You can delete the partition you have and make a new one if you want to totally clean the computer (WARNING: This will literally delete everything on your computer. Everything). From there you continue and finish the setup (it may run for a while). And you have a fesh new hard drive and operating system install.

Hi there, have a strange problem with a brand new DVD SAMSUNG SH-S223C. Installed a few days ago and running latest SB05 firmware (Even I reinstalled twice this firmware). Now on boot with my WIN XP PRO...

Start up BIOS and perhaps change default boot drive to your hard drive because i think your default boot up device is the dvd drive.... try to put that last on the list... F2 should get you to BIOS if not try F8 Just keep tapping right at beginning of startup before the logo screen shows. Once in BIOS go to boot menu and change default device :) Hope that works for you

Hello, I have a LaCie 250GB Hard Drive and it´s not being recognized by my PC. I have Windows XP SP3. What should I do?

All brand-new hard drives are sold unformatted and thus don't show up in Windows until they've gone through the formatting process. To get up and running, connect the drive, boot your PC, and at the Windows desktop right-click the My Computer icon and select Manage. Click Disk Management in the left-hand tree, and every drive connected to your system will show up. Simply right-click your new drive and select New Partition. Then follow the steps to get your drive up and running.

How to install a new seagate hard drive?

I have one thats ide ultra, & my computers see it as a disc drive, like a cd drive when i put it in an external seagate case. but when i put it in as an internal it shows up in cmos w/ 320 g space, & no matter which pin config i use it doesnt show when the os is booted. I enabled LBA like it says on the drive, & tried all the other options in CMOS & havent got it to go yet, but it sounds like its running perfectly when it powers up. it'll go, but its actin crazy. ill post it when i get that bastard.
