You should also take a quick look at CineMassive Displays

Their Dual Monitor Displays and Triple Monitor Displays are pretty amazing and they include some really robust multi-monitor management software - CineMastery and CineMatrix.

They're definitely worth a look if you're serious about multi-monitor setups.

You'll need a dual-monitor video card in your computer. The GVLM1928 is basically two monitors on a shared stand. Each side of the monitor has a separate video connection.

Need to connect 3 monitors. Want to use either a Nvidia 290 or ATI Radeon 9250 plus the VGA port. Installing the dual-video card disables the VGA port, cannot get it back. Help!!!

Use your AGP dual-video card for two and using a PCI VGA card for the third. It is best if the same manufacturer video driver is used for both cards, as two different ones could be problematic.

INstalled video card to D945 Intel board, and now the onboard video does not work. I wish to run 2 monitors with same input.

Unfortunately most basic motherboard chipsets do not support multiple monitor setups.

They are designed to become inactive when you connect a slot based video card.

to use 2 monitors you would need to connect them both to the card in the slot if it supports dual monitors.

Dual Screens with a VGA connection

The easiest way would be to purchase a video card that has 2 vga ports on it, allowing dual monitor support. Here is an example.

How do i physically connect a second monitor to my AX300, do i need an adaptor for the socket on the back of the card?

There are several ways to do this.

If one or both of your monitors have a DV/I or DV/D (digital) interface, try to use those instead of VGA (analog) connectors.

Lowest cost: If your computer has a DV/I connector, you could obtain a splitter in order to connect two monitors via VGA.

If you don't have a DV/I interface on your computer, you must install a second video card into the computer. Purchase a card with dual monitor ports (one DV/I and one VGA --or -- dual DV/I).

You could also install any video card with a single monitor port.

Will a dell dimension 2100 support dual monitors

Yes it will but that will also depend on your graphics card to a degree.
To do it properly you need to install a new graphics card and disable the on-board graphics card from the bios.

Your new card should support std VGA as well as DVI

DVI is also capable of being hooked up to many large screen tvs

Dual monitor will not work

Well, my friend. The issue is, the dual monitor hast THREE modes:
1. Internal monitor only
2. External monitor only, and
3. Both monitor simultaneusly.
You may need to keep pressing the FN combination until you reach the mode you want. (You need to wait about 3 seconds before the mode can be observed)

Dual display

On some bios's, you can turn on both your onboard video card and keep that enabled while using the other monitor. However i reccomond you buy a video card that supports a dual monitor system without need for tweaking. Otherwise the simple answer for your issue is no and will require much more work than a conventional dual monitor system.
