ericcahope, Depending on the age of the unit (>3-4years) it may be time for battery replacement or to buy new unit to back-up your pc and monitor. It appears that Belkin has dropped out of the UPS business and no longer supporting their previous UPS line. The only other thing to do would be to shut down your system, disconnect 900v and test it using a purely resistive load of incandescent 60-75watt lightbulbs (2-3) to see if unit will keep them at full brightness for 4 to 7 minutes. If lamps dim after 1 to 5 minutes, It's time to get a new battery installed or a new UPS. I have just tested my 12 year old Minuteman A425 (new battery installed 2006) and it ran for 8 min before shutting down with 175 watt load. That's fair for a 3-4 year service life on a UPS battery. Let me know results of your "test" if you can do additional comment on fixya. Bye for now. 12fixlouieericcahope, Depending on the age of the unit (>3-4years) it may be time for battery replacement or to buy new unit to back-up your pc and monitor. A good PC power supply has "power factor correction" and brings the power factor to nearly 1.0.
A 1000VA UPS can support 900V or more load.
A cheaper PC power supply without "power factor correction" will draw more current. A 1000VA UPS can only support about 600W load.
With the power on hold down the power button for 7 seconds and it will factory reset the router. Should have success using this, if not it means the hardware for the wireless component is faulty or broken.
Belkin has a great support site and this link here will take you a page where you can download a new manual, firmware updates, and even troubleshooting help with setting up the router with Comcast, Bell South, and Cox cable systems.
Good luck to you.
You can try hitting the reset button. Looking at the back there should be a small hole with a tiny button. Use a staightened paper clip or other object to hold it in for at least 30 seconds. That should set it back to factory defaults.
Doing that brought mine back to life momentarily , but it kept going out after a couple of hours and I had to repeat the process until it finally gave up the ghost for good.
Did you try to unplug the power for 30 seconds and plugging it back? you can also bring the router back to factory settings... usually that's accomplished by having the power cord removed, holding the reset button in WHILE plugging the power cord back into the router. Keep the reset button pushed in for atleast 30 seconds! Now you should be able to access the admin page. Keep in mind, any time you move an ethernet (network) cable from the cable modem to the device (pc/laptop/router), you have to unplug the power and plug back again 30 seconds later.
