Lofra service perth

Instructions
    • 1 Disconnect the range's power supply, either by turning off the breaker in your service panel, or unplugging the range from the wall outlet.
    • 2 Remove the burner grates, burner caps and burner bases. On some ranges, the burner bases are secured using screws, which you must remove.
    • 3 Insert a putty knifeicon1.png into the gap below the front of the each side of the range to release the spring clips securing the top to the range.
    • 4 Lift the top, and then have a partner hold the top up. If you are repairing the range alone, place a sturdy object under the top to secure it.
    • 5 Remove the burner orifice containing the igniter that you are replacing.
    • 6 Remove the screw securing the igniter to the underside of the orifice, and then remove the igniter.
    • 7 Pull the igniter wire off of the terminal, and then discard the igniter.
    • 8 Connect the igniter wire to the new igniter.
    • 9 Secure the new igniter to the underside of the orifice using the screw that you removed.
    • 10 Replace the burner orifice, and then secure it into position using the bolt that you removed.
    • 11 Lower the top onto the stoveicon1.png, and then press down to engage the spring clips.
    • 12 Replace the burner bases, caps and grates.
    • 13 Restore power to the range by plugging it back into the wall outlet or turning on the range breaker.

How to remove the front of a ftat top range

see this guide and fix it. God bless you
Instructions
    • 1 Disconnect the power to the stove by turning off the breaker in your fuse box. Test the stove to ensure that power has been disconnected by turning on a working burner and making sure it does not get hot.
    • 2 Open the oven door.

    • 3 Remove the two bolts from the underside of the front of the cooktop, located just above the door jam, facing upwards.
    • 4 Lift the entire cooktop to access the burners, which are attached to the bottom of the cooktop.
    • 5 Remove the two screws from the brackets that secure the burner that you would like to remove, then remove that burner.
    • 6 Disconnect the wires connected to the original burner, then plug them into the new burner. The wires can be removed by simply pulling them out of the terminals. Be sure to mark which wires go to which terminal.
    • 7 Align the grooves on the top of the new burner with the grooves on the bottom of the glass cooktop, then secure the new burner using the brackets and screws that you originally removed.
    • 8 Lower the cooktop, then re-secure it with the two bolts that were removed from the bottom. Close the oven door.
    • 9 Restore power to the stove to complete the installation.

Burner will not get hot enough

When the burner arced out it probably also ruined the switch. Most switches on a standard electric range have 5 wires. 2 wires to the burner. 2 hot wires from power and a smaller wire which connects to the indicator light marked P. It is easy to test the switch Unplug the stove. Turn the suspect switch on wide open. Check for continuity between the 2 terminals going out to the burner marked H1 and H2
If you cannot get a reading then the switch has failed. Note: when replacing the switch usually on most stove the replacement will not be or look like the original HOWEVER it will still have L1 and L2 H1 and H2 and P but the terminals are not always in the same order. If you fail to correctly connect the new switch you will fry 2 switches when both get turned on. Ouch!

Front burner will not light the igniter is good it woks in the other burner and i put a good igniter in the burner and it will not work

What happens when you use a long match or a long butane lighter? Does the gas ignite?

Since the igniter is working in another burner, then either the gas isn't getting to the burner (sealed burner blocked), the spark is being blocked or the electrical connection to the igniter is bad.

Take apart the burner and clean the openings. Make sure that the hole in the part that slides over the electrode is clear (use a needle or the wire from a twist-tie). See page 28 of the manual. (available online from http://www.geappliances.com/service_and_support/literature/ . Enter the model and click submit). Make sure you replace the parts of the burner correctly.

My range also has an orifice at each burner that could be blocked. Turn off the gas before investigating this. Look at the instructions for converting the range from NG to LP - this should be attached to the back of the range near the regulator. This will tell you how to access the orifice and what size wrench to use. I believe my range uses 10 mm.

To check the wiring, you may need to lift the cook top. Often the top is secured with clips on the left and right sides.

I hope this helps.

GE JSP39 range; front right burner eye doesn't work at all

there are two tests to chk which is bad, wether it is the control switch or the elemnt.disconnect the power to stove and open the top and disonnect the wires from elemnt and chks the continuity of the elemnt coil with a multimeter.if the meter does not read continuity then elemnt is bad.to confirm this connect the wires back to the elemnt and plug the unit to power, turn on the switch to high position and read the voltage coming to elemnt.it should be 240 volts.if u read that voltage, then for sure element is bad.if every thing is opposite to this then it is the control switch which is bad.

Kenmore glass top range left front large burner out

check the burner socket, it is likely that contact is being lost where the burner connects to the hardwired portion of the system (the socket). It is not unusual for the socket to "burn up" when there is a poor connection to the burner resulting in the burner being replaced and the new burner not working or working intermittently.

Replacing a radiant element on a maytag glass top range I'm having strange problems with the two right elements of my MER5770 The front larger dual element will only operate at high heat. When turning on...

If the burner is scorched or pitted, go ahead and replace it. New burners can cost anywhere from $10 to $40. Otherwise, check the burner's electrical connections to make sure there is solid contact. Jiggle the burner in its socket. If it is loose, then remove the burner—most just pull out of the electrical socket, although some are mounted with a screw. (Always unplug the range before removing a burner.) Slightly spread the two terminals apart for a tighter connection. If it still doesn't work, then replace the faulty burner with a functioning burner of the same size. If that burner works, then replace the bad burner with a new one. If it doesn't, then inspect the electrical socket for damage. If it's charred, replace the socket. To do so, remove the screws that secure the socket to the range and then unscrew the range wires. Attach the wire connections of the new socket to the range wires and reassemble the burner.
