Just saw one of these the other day. If you navigate the menu you will get to a place where you can adjust what tray the printer is trying to grab paper from. We could troubleshoot this easier: make sure you fill both the cartridge under the print output tray and the paper tray on the back of the printer.
Hi This is a coomon problem with the printer the best thing to do is call HP and advise them of the issue. I recently had a customer who did this and even know it was out of warranty they replaced the printer.
Hi, the Ip3000 has 3 different feeding trays... make sure that the printer is trying to "grab" the paper in the tray that you have chosen to use in the printer properties box... when you give the print command can you see the rubber roller moving to grab the paper in the top feeder tray??? if the roller that feeds the printer is not moving you may have accidentally changed the settings to grab paper from the bottom tray...the one right under the door that opens to let printed pages out of the printer... the 3rd feeder tray is the DVD/CD printing tray... I suggest that you look at the printer Properties for remedial action... hope this helps you with your problem... cheers haitchhcee p.s. suggest you place paper in the bottom tray before making adjustments to see if it is trying to grab the paper from there...
