Question about HP OfficeJet G85 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP Officejet 4300

This is a machine (less than 6 months old) that when it prints it grabs the paper in the printed tray and prints on the bottom. Is it under some type of warranty.

Load specialty paper Follow these steps to load specialty paper such as card stock, envelopes, photo paper, or labels.
Before you proceed, verify that your printer supports the specialty paper on which you are attempting to print by viewing the product specifications . If the size, type, or weight of the paper is not available, the printer does not support printing it. Also note the tray loading capacity for the type of paper on which you are attempting to print.

It keeps saying that there is no paper in the machine--but there is paper there --it is only about 6 months old--it was working and then said there is no paper

Just saw one of these the other day. If you navigate the menu you will get to a place where you can adjust what tray the printer is trying to grab paper from. We could troubleshoot this easier: make sure you fill both the cartridge under the print output tray and the paper tray on the back of the printer.

I keep getting a printer jam error for the hp officejet 8500 wireless, no paper jam, have done everything HP suggests and still won't work. Can anyone suggest what to do other than buy a new printer?

Hi
This is a coomon problem with the printer the best thing to do is call HP and advise them of the issue. I recently had a customer who did this and even know it was out of warranty they replaced the printer.

Thanks

My HP 8500 printer worked perfect for 6 months, but now grabs about 10 pages of paper every time it prints and is always jamming up.

Hi there
You should allways gave the paper a good shake before putting in the printer and the paper should keep in a worm place or it will do just that pull in lots at the same time.

I cant get the machine to grab the paper and it says its out of paper, yet its not out of paper.

Hi, the Ip3000 has 3 different feeding trays...
make sure that the printer is trying to "grab" the paper in the tray that you have chosen to use in the printer properties box...
when you give the print command can you see the rubber roller moving to grab the paper in the top feeder tray???
if the roller that feeds the printer is not moving you may have accidentally changed the settings to grab paper from the bottom tray...the one right under the door that opens to let printed pages out of the printer...
the 3rd feeder tray is the DVD/CD printing tray...
I suggest that you look at the printer Properties for remedial action...
hope this helps you with your problem...
cheers
haitchhcee
p.s.
suggest you place paper in the bottom tray before making adjustments to see if it is trying to grab the paper from there...
