Lost our remote. Bought a universal. However, TV is set to Video and not Cable/TV so when we program the universal, it will turn on/off and change volume but will not switch from Video to Cable/TV and hence we don't have a TV but simply a DVD monitor. What can we do

If you are a user of AT&T Uverse remote, your technician might have possibly programmed your Sanyo TV remote before leaving.
If your remote is not programmed you can easily program it by following steps which will be mentioned in the user guide, these include:
You must know the four digit code for AT&T Uverse which might have been given to you at the time of TV set up.
The remote control codes for Sanyo TV AVM - 1337U are 1045, 4062, 1095, and 1380.
There are different methods to make your Sanyo TV remote work. For example, if you have a black remote, press the zoom button which will be on the right hand corner of your TV. Then you will have to press fast forward for two seconds or till the time the TV shuts down automatically. Then once again switch on the TV and press zoom, your remote will start working once again.
In case you have a silver colored remote control, enter code 922, you will be guided to a menu. You must select RCA. IF code 922 does not work for you, enter code 1041.
Any of the codes mentioned in your user guide book will definitely work. Once the code is accepted by the TV, you can program it easily and set the channels of your choice.
While setting programs you can program it either the manual programming method or the code search method.
Device codes assigned to the TV will again be mentioned in the user guide booklet.
The Uverse remote control is a universal remote control which is user friendly.
These programmed remotes are configured to work with other audio and video devices too. Uverse also offers other services such as high speed Internet, cable TV service, home phone, etc. It's rated as the best service provider in the market.
Hello You are asking for universal remote codes for Sany I assumes, and posts this solution. Actually I didn't understand about your need. So I hereby send teh code list published by Sanyo. It doesn't contain any codes for TVs, at the email address you provided on your complaint post. Check and feel. Five digit universal remote codes for Sanyo are: 10054, 10154, 10159, 11142 [codes with RCA RCR 312W universal remote control] Three digit universal remote codes are: 004/ 013/ 049/ 108/ 110/ 180/ 209 four digit remote codes are: 0049 0097 0110 0004 0268 0012 0108 0180 OK.
If it has a MENU button, press it and use the volume up and down to manipulate the choices, press menu again when you get to channel setup. you want AIR if using off air or Cable for cable. Next screen should say start and press menu again, the channels will start to cycle. If htat doesnt do it, you have a new model than the one I just did tonight. OneForall remotes will probably not have the setup button you need to autoprogram. Best bet is to find a Sanyo made universal remote or other Sanyo remote on Ebay as alot of the buttons are proprietary to manufacturer. Some TV's are useless without their own remote if not on a external tuner (cable SAT or digital)
