The alarm sounds for only 5 seconds. When you receive a fax and the paper jams, the fax will be received into memory. When it has finished receiving the fax, the alarm will sound momentarily. When you remove the jammed paper, the fax will print automatically.

The alarm is on and cannot fax. This is a muratec F100 fax machine.

When you get an alarm light the unit will also tell you if its a paper jam; or a jam in the doc. feeder or if there is a problem with the machine or supples. Further info is needed.

Do you mean the "Out of paper" alarm? Check that all paper trays have paper. The by-pass tray should be prperly set to receiv "Legal" size paper and have that size paper in that tray.
