My baby girl's entire first year of videos was on our camcorder hard drive and we accidentally deleted it during her first birthday party. Does anyone know how we can recover it? Desperately seeking Help.
When files are deleted they still remain on camcorder hard drive and can be recovered, unless they have been overwritten by fresh data.
The only thing to do so run a data recovery program to see what can be recovered. The only program I have tested is asoftech data recovery software and it had done the job well. download the data recovery from http://www.asoftech.com
Select the drive where your files were deleted and then do a deep scan. It will find your deleted files.
Deleting files from camcorder is just like clearing the recycle bin or Trash onyour comptuter. The data itself isn't deleted, just the area containing the deleted data is also now marked as free space so it is available for any new data to be written there instead. So a simple delete won't make your videos erased permanently.
As a result, you have chance to retrieve those deleted videos as long as the video data on your camcorder(memory card or hard disk) are not written over. And the best way is to try some video recovery software, here are some for your options. Both programs can also recover photos and music.

First of all you need to install the program on your computer (choose the right version based on the operation system you are running), then connect your camcorder (memory card or HDD) to the computer and start to recover your deleted videos.
One More Tip: Your should act as soon as possible and before the deleted videos are recovered, better not take more videos in case overwritten situation will happen.

No. you cannot possibly recover it anymore, the file was store in the flash drive and there's no way you can still retrieve it.

Actually I was able to retrieve almost all my videos by using a recovery software from Ontrack.
You really should not be giving out answers when you obviously do not know what you are talking about. I was so upset when I read your comment and thankfully I did not give up.
