At which side did you loose the flatcable? When it is done at the glassside you have cut off the flatcable, then there is no fixing anymore, sorry.

In case it is on the main board side simply plugin the cable to its position...;-)

First unplug the machine. If you remove the bottom panel you can reach all the way to the door lock position and should be able to reattach it easily. Why if i may ask were you trying to remove the panel?

I have jammed a bostitch t5 staple gun and would like to know how to unjam it

if you take the pins out that hold the front off it will allow you to get at the jammed staple but be careful how every thing comes apart it will not work if shims and washers are not replaced right

Have 42PX12XC red vertical i inch lines on both sides. whats wrong ? can i fix this myself ?

The lines on the screen show that there is a poor connection with
the flatcable on the controller board.
Ok lay your flatscreen on a table or on your desk.

First remove the backfront cover.

Then you will see the input board frame you've to remove this first.
When you removed the input board you'll see the controller board

LGE PDP 040602
PART NO: 6871QCH038A

The connections you have to check is P105 and P106.
These are the flatcable for the leftside of the screen and
for the rightside of the screen.

Try to keep the input board up to 45¤ and leave the wires connected.

Now put the power on and see for your self when you push on
the flatcable you will see the lines disapear and the screen show
normal asual.

This indicate that the soldering points are bad to resolve this you can try to resolder the soldering points or you replace a new controller board this part you can find it here.

I hope this will help you out.

I had the same problem and resolved by myself so its easy to do
and I'm sure you can do it too!

Whenever I turn it on theres just a blue screen and I can't get it to record

It took me a while to figure this one out but I finally did and mine is back to working perfectly. The problem: The Play option worked fine but the camera did not. When turned to camera mode the blue canon screen would come up and then freeze. The only way to turn it off was to remove the battery.

The fix: I was brave enough to take the entire outer shell off the camera. On the main board, underneath the screen/battery side, all the different parts are connected together. There is a single connector from the lens that had come out of its port. The ribbon connector must have somehow been shaken out of the port at some point. With needle nose pliers I carefully fit the ribbon connector back into the port. I carefully reattached the outer shell and everything was back working!

I will warn you that this task takes some time due to many many screws. It's a lot better than sending it off for hundreds of dollars though.

No read out on screen

you have to dismantle the board (backside "inside" the scanner). Check if you have disconnected the flatcable between the display and the circuit board.

The foil that you have pulled of is OUTSIDE (where you push the buttons), i guess. This has nothing to do with the display reading.

There could be the dimmer set back to light reading, too. This has to be set by help of the menu button (see manual).

Init unable AF

AF means that the CIS scanner is (can) not (get)in right position. This could be because of a broken scanner flat cable, or a loose flatcable or a defective pcb. Check flatcable connection at the pcb (Open scanner like changing carts, open flatcable cover with a screwdriver. Does the flatcable stick in the pcb? (There is only the flatcable without a connector ;-)) Reconnect and power up mfc again. If it doesn't help please write again here.
