These Aqualand watches have three separate batteries and are not meant to be changed by anyone but citizen repair person. It is best to send back to ensure it is water proof. It's not real cheap though
It turns to "chek" if the moisture sensor that triggers dive mode when you go in the water is exposed to water and you don't dive for more than an hour. The sensor is very easily triggered by sweat, so all you got to do is wipe the sensor between the crown and the upper right button with dry cloth and "chek" will go away.
i followed the instructions on the Citizen website for a system reset and it worked. Unfortunately, the regular way of setting the digital hour does not. Maybe a technical problem? The movement number for the Aqualand duplex is C506.
1. unscrew the analog adjustment crown and pull one click
2. press and hold the other 3 buttons for 3 seconds and release.
3. push the analog crown back and adjust the digital time.
this is a system reset so you will have to set the date. You will lose your settings and your dives. good luck.
Just bought an aqualand, and it seems it gives you the word check if you put it in dive mode and dont go in the water for 1 hour. My problem is similar, it goes into dive mode, and I cant abort it. So I just leave it untill it says check, and eventually it disapears and returns to normal.
